I actually really want to buy and play this, it turned out much better than i thought it would i mean we are talking about Bloober and Konami here lol. The combat and shooting still looks a bit wonky and unpolished but it looks amazing and it’s a perfect time to play a game like this.. however.. i’m not buying it until the disappointing performance gets fixed on ps5! I’m really hoping it will, i’m so sick of stuff like this. No buy.

And no Sony i’m not buying your stupid overpriced console with no disc drive just to enjoy games in what should be normal and stable framerates. 💀🖕🏻

gold_drake577d ago

not sure what that has to do with sony, but mkay ha

Cacabunga576d ago (Edited 576d ago )

This is one of the few chances that gamers will have nowadays to slow they still care for single player games.

Day one

pwnmaster3000577d ago

I understand you but if your planning to buy this game anyways, I would just buy it now.
Atleast support the devs who made it.
Has nothing to do with Sony.

I would honestly buy it but I’m a pu$$y lol

Eonjay576d ago

It might not be as bad as you think. DF states that while it CAN drop, it is locked most of the time. Hopefully they release a patch to address the dr DRS issues. Doesn't look like this require a Pro to get this over the goal lime.

SimpleDad576d ago

I will eventually buy it, have my Halloween planed out already with RE games... also picked up Tormented Souls for nothing.

IRetrouk576d ago (Edited 576d ago )

Every sony release has had stable framerates though, and more options with vrr included than most, sony can't be blamed for a 3rd party company not hitting their own targets.

peppeaccardo575d ago

this game is a donkey also on a 4090 WITHOUT DLSS (I have a rizen 9 an 64 GB. of ram), it goes up 40-50 fps. With DLSS around 70-80 depending on the area you are in. Combat is good ... but it has a bit of hickups here and there .... even in rooms or closed environments it does not shine in terms of framerate. Graphics is nice even though I prefer ALAN Wake 2 from an artsy stand point.

A few frame drops won’t hold me back. Just watched 20min of new footage. They nailed the atmosphere!

RaidenBlack576d ago

Its a really good Remake, no other way to put it.

CrimsonWing69576d ago

I am shocked by how fantastic this Remake is. I honestly didn’t think any western developer could do Team Silent justice. In my opinion, this surpasses the original in every way. I haven’t felt this level of tension and anxiety playing a game since… sh*t maybe SH1 and 2. Bloober pulled off the impossible.

ANIALATOR136576d ago

A few things I feel they didn't get right. The first time you see Pyramid Head behind the bars. He's standing way too close. He should be way further back to obscure him to the player more.

TheKingKratos577d ago (Edited 577d ago )

Alex is also saying on twitter that PC suffer from stutter and performance issues as well ... UE5 is still new to most developers trying to figure it till now

Epic literally just updated their engine to 5.5 where it hit 60fps constant on Base Ps5 while using Lumen

Any issues will be ironed out and fixed but bloopers team are not known for well optimized games ... Let's see if they will fix the issues with performance mode

Smellsforfree575d ago

I'm kinda waiting for their PC review before deciding which version to buy between PS5 and PC. Traversal and shader compilation stuttering sucks but if it is occasional and under 100ms when it happens I would rather have that than a consistently bad frame rate.

Samonuske576d ago

The fact they got the atmosphere down in the first hour was enough for me. They deserve credit.

Oh mah gawd say it ain’t so, say it ain’t so!

merlox164d ago

I didn’t have any issues playing SH2 on my PS5 pro.

got_dam164d ago (Edited 164d ago )

Well, the Xbox series X is not a bad machine at all. Its everything surrounding it from the support to the marketing that is garbage. Its too bad, because sony has shown themselves to be quite anticonsumer when they dont have real competition. Unfortunately Microsoft shits on their own balls every 5 minutes. Nintendo plays their own game so is not real competition. Maybe the steam machines will keep Sony on their toes, but I doubt it. Again, thats a different target audience.

Reaper22_164d ago

The next gen xbox will be more than enough competition . All Sony did this gen was sell more consoles which was gonna happen regardless. The support, features and games are unmatched imo. Ps5 and ps5 pro still dont have features the series x has had since launch. As far as support i disagree. It has massive support and Microsoft games output has been superior this gen. But hey, I'm biased because I prefer the xbox. Just as you are biased for playstation.

pwnmaster3000164d ago

Xbox is competition?🤣🤣 🤣🤣
It’s over man.
It’s PlayStation, steam machine and Nintendo.

Bye Xbox it was fun but steam machine is here to replace you

Hypertension140164d ago (Edited 164d ago )

The dualsense? VR? Better and cheaper storage options?

You make it sound like the Xbox can do everything better, even the features that it doesn't have. To me, the dualsense is the most next gen feature about the current gen consoles. Quick resume is cool but it only saves you a few seconds while the dualsense makes entire games more immersive.

Better game output? You mean the multiplatform studios they acquired because nobody gives a shit about their original IPs anymore? Its not like it matters anyway, Xbox no longer has any exclusives.

D2niceforu164d ago

@pwnmaster3000

Lol steam machine is not gonna sell.

Chevalier164d ago

All Sony did all generation was dominated Xbox. You can be a biased idiot, but, facts are facts. Playstation had more of everything overall, VR, more variety of games, better exclusives and controller too

Sony Sony Sony. Crybaby. Anyone with half a brain cell knows why you swiping PlayStation. Nintendo and Microsoft have shown to be far more anti consumer than Sony. Could you be any more of a dense tool?

Reaper22_164d ago

I disagree with the "far more". All of them have the same goal and they aren't perfect. They all do things that piss off the consumer.

Reaper22_164d ago (Edited 164d ago )

Go xbox!🤘

CrimsonWing69164d ago

Wasn’t the Series X more powerful than the base PS5? It’s not a real shocker.
