Assassin's Creed Shadows is currently a "bugged mess", which is what ultimately led to its delay to February, 2024.

Ubisoft: "Hello everyone, Tomorrow, April 7th, we will be releasing Title Update 1.1.10 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows @ 14:00 UTC / 10:00 AM EST / 7:00 AM PST."
Another step closer to finally getting me to buy the game. Just need some more fixes, improvements, and a bigger price drop for the premium edition. They've already announced no more major DLC expansions but I'm still taking a wait-and-see approach.
Next-gen PSSR tech elevates image quality across every visual mode.

Ben Porter from Newzoo explains that the player base has very little overlap with mainstream hits such as Assassin's Creed: Shadows and Ghost of Yōtei
I used to buy cheap games thinking I’d play them later, but I always ended up returning to my favorites. Now I skip the deals unless I know I’ll play the game soon.
This is very true, my nephews grew up on these two games and whenever I introduce them a AAA game whether old or new, it's like seeing an alien try to make sense of it and then quickly lose interest in it.
Can’t really expect a 8 year old Roblox kid to go buy resident evil 9 lol
Gaming trends are so weird to me now. Like, I’m old school and games were consumed essentially how movies were. You play through a title and look forward to the sequel or other things that came out. Now, that is so not the norm.
Not to mention they even gave the Prince of Persia remake to that new support studio in India without any other experience on making full on games and it gained so much backlash they had to restart its entire development at one of their main studios.
But is it enough time to fix most of the bugs? I doubt it. To me it sounds like this needs another year at least, but they are not giving them that time. Nothing new to be honest, another ubisoft game released in a buggy state.
I’m worried about what they’re going to do to Splinter Cell
I said this previously, but it would have been nice if Ubishit learned how to delay their games in the past, instead of rushing them out at any cost for Black Friday sales. They burned too many customers over the years, assuming that many of them would just accept their fake apologies and keep buying their slop.
AC: Unity needed 6 more months of polish, as a reminder, the game was so rushed, that they also desperately rushed out the patches to fix the game, and in doing so, the patches were also bugged, which meant that they had to release more patches to fix the newly added bugs in the previous patches. As an apology they offered the story DLC for free, which is nice, but bribery is not how to solve the actual problem with your games.
I know that AC: Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla all had numerous bug fixes released post launch as well. Not to mention the disaster that was Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.
As for Splinter Cell, hoo boy, this one could very easily end up as a disaster if they "Ubify it". EXP, skill points, massive skill tree to grind out for hours, constant weapon & armor upgrades, enemy level gating, what a mess and a slap to the face to long time SC fans that'll end up being.
What this remake needs is to fix the flaws of the original release, make it better than ever, and also allow options for no kill and no knock out playthroughs as well. I want to be an actual 'ghost' moving through the levels, where I attack no one, and no one knows I was even there as I complete my objectives.
