State of Play Remastered

Gonna have to bring more than Remasters this time though, people are wondering what their bigger developers are doing for almost half a gen yet still nothing new got announced yet.

I'm going in expecting bangers, their devs had enough time for something to be shown already, especially Wolverine. The 30 min might seem low, but Nintendo has managed to have some great showings with similar show lengths, all they have to do is show the games, and not do a bunch of talking or extended looks.

Finally, all 1st party games they show have to be PS5 Pro enhanced, and I want to see FF7: Rebirth(PRO) type of jumps or better.

It's a state of play and not a showcase, so it's already off to a dull start. top that with the fact that they specifically use the word updates and not announcements and im not expecting much out of this.

Sony have stopped trying, they have no competition so why bother? The highlight will be a crappy hzd remaster that no one wants.

PlayStation better deliver..........after all of the overwhelming negativity they've had these last 2 weeks. They will need AAA bangers. NOT remasters.

Looking forward to the show but when it comes to remasters the only remasters I want to see is Bloodborne or something from the PS3 era. I don't care about a HZD, Until Dawn or a Days Gone remaster.

For a PS5 owner; this generation has basically been about Sony putting their games on PC and calling them remasters at the same time telling console owners they are number 1 whilst charging them more. When more people wake up and realise they have essentially just copied Microsofts strategy in slow motion they'll finally realise they were shafted this generation. Copying Microsoft will just give you the same results and the corporation will come to the same illogical conclusions that the console market is shrinking when it is in fact themselves that are shrinking it deliberately with bad decisions.

"God of War had a all time peak of 73,529 on Steam, GOW Ragnarok's peak is 25,796" I hope it was worth it Sony, These games were downloaded in their millions on pirate flag waving sites.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
