With the series 'New Play Control' Nintendo is taking their classic Gamecube games and releasing them on the Wii. One of the first titles that is going to be re-released for the Wii is Pikmin.

Nintendo is currently working on a new spin off based on its real-time strategy and puzzle game series, Pikmin, based on the latest rumor.
Hopefully they focus on Pikmin 4 DLC instead. That game introduced tons of interesting mechanics that deserve extra levels and bosses.
I hope for some Pikmin 4 DLC too.. to be honest, they could even make the second player somehow to work (not talking about that extra mode).. but they could make that you can control the dog at least, even if it's on the same screen in story mode
