Ultra Ninjas : Dyson Preview

Ultra Ninja Matt writes "They say the best things in life are free and to be honest most of the time they're wrong, but at the same time you can't say no to a bit of quality gaming when it doesn't put a strain on the wallet. Dyson, brainchild of Rudolf Kremers and Alex May (with a little help from Brian Granger) is such a game, having what initially seems to be a relatively simple premise that actually ends up leaving you tied up in tactical knots. So many tactical knots that it ends up temporarily taking over your life and delaying the writing of a preview feature. Oops.

Anyhow, Dyson is somewhat of a simple RTS game where your task is to spread your seed (quite literally) across a galaxy filled with planets. The catch is, this galaxy is populated by an enemy… er… type of seed, and hence your glorious march across space requires you not only to inhabit each planet, plant trees and grow new seeds, but to invade and battle planets inhabited by the other side. It sounds simple enough, yes?"

GameOlio Review: Dyson

Dyson is a new Indie game, though still in it's final beta stages, is set for release very soon. It's a procedurally generated, real-time strategy game about self-replicating mining machines in an asteroid belt. As they inhabit and conquer each new asteroid, you must ensure their protection from other similarly made machines by eradicating the competition.
