this proves that microsoft are still producing consoles

All these models for no reason. MS only needed two models, Series X with disc drive, and cheaper Series X without a disc drive, but instead we have 6 total models released with various disc drive and storage capacity amounts. What a mess.

MS has done nothing but tell people that they DONT need a Xbox so I hope MS doesn’t expect people to run out and buy it.

These SKU's are so incredibly redundant at this point. Get an SSD expansion for your series x or download digital games and let the disc drive collect dust. Just seems like an alternative way for them to repackage their excess production.

At these prices I am not sure what the appeal is. Why should I want this?

No thanks, I have two Series Xs and 7TB of Seagate storage. I really don't get what MS is after here. I mean if they are not selling that many consoles why not drop the price on all consoles?

The Xbox team is remarkably talented at finding the worst possible time to release their hardware.

Bought two of the largest publishers but didn't move the needle at all... literally nothing has changed...

Gamepass not doing well even when you promise day one first party games, and now they cut that away from a whole bunch of their subscribers...

XBox not selling well, so they release even more expensive models with more storages...

Microsoft has disinsentified anyone from purchasing an Xbox since according to them, you don't need an Xbox to play Xbox games.

If they want to see a come back at this point, they should make windows or steam OS bootable and have the game pass or Ms store as an app.

Probably don't need to preorder these.

How's the emulation these days on the Xbox Series X? It's the only reason I see to get one.

Expired hardwares ..

I have always been more Xbox than PS despite having both, but I can't really understand the pricing of these 'new' consoles. I mean, coming up to 4 years old now and no new spec (other than the 2tb storage option) but charging the same or even more £££ for them. Sony getting ready to launch a more powerful version of the PS5, what are Microsoft playing at? I know they're starting to dial down the importance of consoles but come on at least try to show willing! Either a lower price for the new system or a spec bump like the PS5 pro would have been good. But even as a bit of a fan, I'm not dropping £450-550 on a 4 year old piece of technology with new plastic round it.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Is this like the 10th quarter in a row they're down 33% on hardware how is that even mathematically possible. You would think their mediocrity would Plateau
