Sony really need to kick up their advertising several notches for this release. Microsoft are always very very good with advertising and hyping games, you couldn't move without seeing an advert for HALO each time a new version was released and Sony need to do this. So many great titles like Uncharted, Little Big Planet, Motorstorm that were released with barely a whimper from Sony's advertising department.

So thats graphics, gameplay, AI, the feel, the fun. Anything else you can think of haters?

mafia 2 come on man get yourself a ps3,i was a 360 only user till a few months back,sony has the games this year and last year, to miss out on them sucks.360 aint got nothink this year worth my money,halo wars,dlc and a ninja game sub par titles thats it, even alan wake if it comes out will be better on my pc assuming its any good.ms is short this year but who knows for next year they may have the games.we have nothink close to killzone on 360 period any one with 20 20 vision can see that.

I didn't get into the beta myself, but from what I heard the Killzone multiplayer demo was very well done. I like multiplayer games, but only if the gameplay is there. And I only like the games if the story is done right; I'm fickle like that.

This game has got me so excited! This is sure to be a day one purchase.

i have fully come to the understanding that either

a. you can not afford such a quality machine as the ps3.

or

b. you are unhappy with the xbox360 and need to vent.

killzone 2 will be a monster game. i bought an xbox360 at launch for gears, even though i am not an xbox fan. i knew that gears of war would be a solid game. do yourself a favor, don't hate the game, play it and enjoy killzone 2.

I am a proud owner of both systems so my comments are not biased to one more than the other. I am so excited for this game to come out and hearing that the multiplayer rocks makes it even better. My only concern is the PS3's online setup. I have to admit that 360 seems a lot more user friendly and stable than the PS3's online set up. Once PS3 gets to where 360 is in regards to online play, it will truly be the leading force. As for now, I have to rely on the 360 for multiplayer. Being able to have a party, the functionality of finding, hosting games has to be done on my XBOX. BUT, for graphics, and the best games like MGS4, KZ@, LBP, watching BLURAY, I relay on my PS3. I adore both systems, but truly cannot wait until Playstation gets through the growing pains on online action. Regardless, KZ2 will be a juggernaught and I took that friday off from work. I am so frigging stoked!

The gameplay of KZ2 really does match the graphics in terms of quality. Trust me.

Im looking forward to Killzone and i just know its going to be good. But will it be good enough to still want to play it in 6months?
I loved COD4 but on its second play though found myself getting annoyed at its basic check point run and one way gameplay and spawning enemies, things i didn't notice on my first play through. Im hoping Killzone isn't going to be like this and that on my second, third and forth play through im still finding cool things to do and try. If it does still wow me then i will say that its worth the 10/10. Not until.

Sony really does need another mainline shooter franchise. They pretty much gave up after the PS3 generation, and I'm really surprised they haven't tried at another high-profile, singleplayer-centric shooter; even if it weren't Killzone or Resistance.

I miss Killzone while I can see why they still do Horizon has some really good things but I do think that Horizon is overrated imo.

Or how about studios focus on projects that they feel passionate about, and not be forced to make something they have little interest in. It shows in the final product.

It’s still got potential for the modern era. The DNA is all there. The install base is there. The interest is there. The time is now.

I’m beating a dead horse here… but Resisitance FOM gun lay out was so fun, multiplayer was one of my top favorite experiences. Insomniac nailed it and I would love a remaster and maybe a redo with Reisistance 2. They listens to players who were wanting a Halo killer and it kind of lost its character from the first.

Warhawk, if they had just remade the first one not Starhawk which offered nice things like the build and battle.. but Warhawk was the best arcade shooter I ever played. Back when you didn’t have battle passes and you actually had to get certain amount of kills or ribbons to unlock different paint skins on the Warhawks and armor for your player.. Look at the success of Helldivers 2, it’s a fun game and it reminds me of Warhawk in a way. I’ve been wanting a remake or sequel since the beginning of the ps4 gen.. it’s hurts to have hope nowadays. Even with the demise of the studios Sony has a steady fan base.

Killzone game after Killzone 2 play style would be nice

Sorry bud, but the PS3 generation was amazing and featured the greatest console comeback in history.

That said, I'd love it if Warhawk returned or Metal Gear Solid 4. It needs to not be shackled to the PS3 generation anymore. A Killzone 2 remake would be insane with modern graphics and that art direction.

I really miss this gen of gaming. It felt like the last truly "great" era for videogames before the modern approach really took hold.

The PS3 was such a glorious console. The UI, the games, the free online...just incredible.

I would pay good money for a Warhawk remake. Socom too. The last Socom game just didn’t do it justice. Folklore could use a remaster or remake as well.
Several other titles I would like to remade with the amount of visual fidelity the current gen has over the past consoles it could help articulate the games that we’ve loved growing up. I would love even some ps2 titles to remade.. Dark Cloud from ps2, Legacy of Kain series but don’t know what will come of it sense it was bought by Embracer group and all there layoffs.

This strategy is exactly what helped ruin Xbox. Sony more than Microsoft know when to let a franchise go and that is important to keep things fresh. The old games are there if you want to play them.

FF13 is top of this list for me. No matter your opinion on it, it being the only numbered offline FF out of all 16 not to be on new consoles is odd. GTA IV would be great too

The only reason my PS3 is still connected is because of the Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm games that I still love to play. I am for remaking or remastering them.

I was never a huge fan of Killzone, but thoroughly enjoy Horizon. Guerrilla are superb developer and easily up there with the best of the best.

Need a killzone 2 remake from the ground up.

Great studio, loved the Killzone series, I wish they would do a remake of the first three games. Horizon is a real step up and truly put Guerrilla Games on the map.

Too bad I never got a chance to play Shellshock: Nam’67 would have loved to try that game out back in the days to see what were their beginnings.

Bring back killzone (maybe in 3rd person perspective)

It would fantastic to see what they could do in Killzone after the lessons learned through Horizon.

Or heck, give us even a short linear FPS from the people who designed Cauldron THETA in the Burning Shores expansion. Even just flying into it (after gliding around and finding its opening amongst the lava and Sunwings perched around it, with other bigger machines just along the path toward it) was an incredible experience.

Forbidden West is awesome, It’s pretty damn big compared to Zero Dawn and it takes a little while to get your skills up and get the equipment you need to fully explore the game (not going to spoil it) but once you do those things and start fighting the big ass machines it really is amazing. Some cool side quests to where you hold the fate of peoples lives by your choice and the cauldrons look amazing. Lots of skills , combos, special moves and add ons for your weapons so you can approach fights many ways. Looking forward to the name game but I wonder how/if Silas will be a part of it or not ? Sad he’s gone.
