The only games im waiting for from Sega is Aliens Colonel Marines and the new Aliens RPG, always loved the alien quadtrilogy movies

Being that Sega brought back the classics in the ultimate megadrive collection and many of them can be played in 720p (I think all of them can actually) I may end up buying that. Try out a few games in HD, a few that I got to play as a child as well as some I never got a chance to touch.

Why can't SEGA make you buy an Emulator on XBL or PSN and charge you 1 dollar for their whole Retro library?

Well it's also connected to the PSN and Live so their will be future games added on I assume.

The only thing that really miffs me about all of this is it seems to say that you can play with a friend if you play at HOME, why can't they have the online option of playing with people from around the world? I even wonder the same thing for Virtual console games for the Wii.

One personal nitpick is that Sega isn't releasing Sonic CD on this disc, but those games coming are ones I loved when I was young. I always preferred the Genesis to the SNES as i was a big arcade fan and Sega's early consoles were targeted to arcade gamers. This is a great list, and although I won't be buying it (those games are available as free ROMs), I encourage people to get it. Lord knows there's a crapload of arcade history available on it. You know what? Shinobi 3 and the Shining Force games are on it. I might buy it afterall.

I know there are PC Emulators out there but imagine if you had all your SEGA games on a CD or uploaded on XBL or PSN. All these games at your fingetips with game previews and such?

This is what forces people to create Emulators for consoles.

-Actually, I think you can play Streets of Rage 2 over XBL. The Wii and Virtual Console well I have no trust in Nintendo Online multiplayer abilities. It's something Nintendo is so slow about bring robust features like PSN and XBL. Nintendo is a Momma's boy and as we all know, Online gaming is not that big in Japan. They do things at their own pace, yet they still do very well.

If your looking for Robust Online Network, it's not gonna come from Nintendo.

-That's how it was back in the old days. Now at 28, it's rare I'm calling my homies to come over and play video games all day. So the online is a great way to enjoy these games.

Yeah, I know Nintendo isn't really well know for their online play (and being that virtual console had basically NO online play, Wiiware leaves some things to be desired I simply took that out of my equation of games worth buying.)

Glad I did and luckily I have a PS3 (would be the same if I had an xbox360). The ability to play these in an HD settings would look rather nice, (even though I have sonic genesis collection or is it ultimate? For gamecube which I play often I think this Genesis ultimate collection will take the place of that game quite easily. Not only will I be able to boost my level for PSN (Level 1 as of right now which is sad :/) I'll have fun playing games I missed and some that I enjoyed as a child.

As for the online thing, well leaving pretty close to farmland has it's problems. If you want someone/friends to come over and play, Send them a text earlier in the morning or set something up days in advance, sad but at least it works.

Well you made the right purchase.

Since I have given the Wii and 360 love by buying SEGA games off them, I think, I'll get this for the PS3.(Need to get a new HDD) Plus as you might of heard, the 360 D-Pad is not that great for RETRO games that involves timing your jumping and such.

Yeah I've heard it's not that great and have tried it out on a few occasions, wasn't AS bad a few games were still playable, but overall It was a bit annoying to try and move at some points.

I feel your pain..that's crazy. I live in the city. Where you from?

*Ohio, the worst state in my opinion, cities so few and far in between and nothing but farmland all over the place.
