This is great to hear, just a shame The Evil Within got left behind

I thought after the Callisto Protocol failed to meet expectations they’d have wanted another survival horror franchise.

GaboonViper638d ago

So my dream of a Evil Within 3 is up in smoke then, i really hate gaming nowadays.

badz149638d ago

Ask Bethesda or MS, they own the IP

Obscure_Observer638d ago

"So my dream of a Evil Within 3 is up in smoke then, i really hate gaming nowadays."

Don´t give up on your dreams just yet. I never though I would play Killer Instinct again without RARE and I never though I would play Fable again without Lionhead. And here we are.

darthv72638d ago

EW3 will still likely be made... just not by Tango.

I'm stoked that there could be Rush 2 or something original again with their quality and charm.

RaidenBlack638d ago

MS will force Arkane or Coalition to save the IP

InUrFoxHole638d ago

Idk man. I just couldn't get into evil within. The camera ruined it for me.

anast637d ago

They were never going to revisit the Evil Within, unfortunately.

Did they not acquire that IP as well? It’s only states High Fi Rush in this article so I wonder if they acquired all IP , some IP or just Hi Fi Rush?

FinalFantasyFanatic638d ago

They also said they were integrating the studio as well, you would think they would have grabbed all the IPs too, but the article doesn't make it clear apart from High Fi Rush.

@-Foxtrot

"We all know who it is...I'm just more surprised the mods keep allowing them to create accounts."

"Foxtrot, you caught me.

I am obscure observer. Christopher does nothing because we are frends and I drive traffic and engagement to the site (which they need badly)"

Oh fcs! Unbelievable!

Had never occurred to you, a middle-age guy, that you have been easily manipulated by some obvious banned clown (probably a kid) which has been doing nothing but using your disgusting paranoia and obsession with me as a tool to get some 5 minute attention while having a good laugh at your expense?

For the last time man, whatever weirdo obsession sh!t you are into, I don´t have time for it. I never had, never need it, and I´ll have or created any fake/alt account here or anywhere else. So leave me out of your sick and childish games and get help!

Oh? Some good news? Glad to hear it. Looking forward to what Tango has in store next.

anast637d ago

Some mobile style gacha games.

Sciurus_vulgaris638d ago

It’s very unfortunate that Microsoft didn’t not see Tango Games and their IPs as valuable. The studio is a very capable lower budget AAA developer.

GaboonViper638d ago

So MS had this great IP and characters in Hi-Fi Rush, which Xbox fans including myself adored, one of the highest rated games in years for Xbox, a instant cult classic and they sell it off.....just unbelievable.

Sciurus_vulgaris638d ago (Edited 638d ago )

I get where you are coming from. However, this deal allows Hi-Fu Rush to continue.

shaenoide638d ago

We are going to pay for AKB no matter if we like it lr not.

FinalFantasyFanatic638d ago

They barely even owned Tango Gameworks for 3 years as I understand it, why even buy it in the first place?

DarXyde638d ago

Package deal for Zenimax, I guess.

It's like being a kid and having to eat your vegetables: you came for the steak, but have to take it with the broccoli (even if it's arguably the best part of the meal for you).

anast637d ago

It didn't sell. And there were way less fans that liked HiFi than liked it.

637d ago
anast637d ago

The Steam numbers were low too.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

dveio12d ago

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing12d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9212d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit12d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing12d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9212d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
