Its an amazing game, maybe not as action packed as the 3rd. But it makes up for it in tactical combat, great storyline, interesting quests, character development and interactivity and it still looks good for an old game due to the art style.

It's better than the 3rd; action-packed-centric gameplay isn't always a good thing.

That said, I still really enjoyed playing Fallout 3. I must've put in over 50 hours into that game.

Meh, play all of them. The only one that might not be people's cup of tea is Fallout: Tactics, which isn't canon and is more of a strategy game than an RPG. Still, very cheap.
