I've watched a couple of the inGame trailers and this game not only looks brilliant but it's what it will do for the developer studios, boundaries being pushed forward and architectures being understood.

it's on the pre-order list and I'm not even a FPS great fan, but this game looks amazing... the physics engine and the texture mapping is outstanding. ok ok it's only what i've seen ingame trailers and the proof is always under the iceBerg but lets hope it plays and sounds as good as it looks.

How can a real gamer not be excited about Killzone 2?
Forget about your precious favourite console for a moment and act like gamers. I would be very excited about Killzone 2 if it was a 360 exclusive if I didnt have a 360. Now I have both 360 and Ps3 and I dont give a sh1t about what console the game is on. I just want good games....

Unrealistic death animations. One of the baddies gets shot in his right side and he gets thrown backwards. I've seen many flaws so far.

Scripting and acting is BS teen cr&p though but then much of the audience isn't going to mind this

To be fair this game is going to get some predictably high marks just for the sumptuous graphics, but this video has proven yet again that it's just the same stuff we've played dressed in some very pretty visuals - not an entirely bad thing but that doesn't make for astonishing gameplay.I have not seen anything in the way way of sandbox layers and that leaves a game much like any other - albeit a stunning one

Gears2 graphics however have clearly much more detail in textures though none of the extra polish K2 has.It would be nice to see both the gorgeous texture graphics from Gears2 and the generous use of everything else from K2's effects - but K2's graphics are clearly not better in the raw sense

K2 is clearly not a dud but you're left with a slightly duller and seen it all before type gameplay without those graphics

I've said here previously that i would get a PS3 in a shot if this delivered, but the game is just not exceptional from a gameplay regard, merely perfectly well done

Don't be daft iv'e played Uncharted and it's a pretty game but absolutely not as good texture wise you goon.I'd love to play this if it ever came to 360 because it's classy stuff - i thought so too of K2 as shown in a very obvious way i thought if you had understood my comment

A video or videos of a game in motion and of it's gameplay shown is enough for some people to understand if something is working.An example would be Fracture as one look at that tells straight away that gameplay here is only working reasonably well.K2 looks like it plays beyond most FPS but not the very best ones - it is however more lucky to have some of the finest visuals ever.Some people obviously are not able to judge games by there video it seems but don't get out of your pram about it

Personally i think the PS3 is the better piece of kit but it shall always have blurrier textures.The 360 has sharper more detailed texture that are more prone to jaggies.I couldn't give a hoot what machine is better than the next because the reality is if i want a PS3, i'll happily get one

It may be that K2 is just that game to tempt me as it does look heavenly for sure.Gameplay looks very similar to Cod which while no bad thing, is not is not my style of shooter and i'll guess others too.It doesn't include additional layering which is also something most shooters suffer
It wont of course be bad but, i'm just pointing out some obvious failings that in fact even the very best shooters like Halflife2 suffer with for example.KZ2 should be good enough on the graphics alone i feel and will deliver a solid shooter as i have said, but beyond that, it takes greater skill as a dev to pull off more advanced gameplay

Sony really does need another mainline shooter franchise. They pretty much gave up after the PS3 generation, and I'm really surprised they haven't tried at another high-profile, singleplayer-centric shooter; even if it weren't Killzone or Resistance.

I miss Killzone while I can see why they still do Horizon has some really good things but I do think that Horizon is overrated imo.

Or how about studios focus on projects that they feel passionate about, and not be forced to make something they have little interest in. It shows in the final product.

It’s still got potential for the modern era. The DNA is all there. The install base is there. The interest is there. The time is now.

I’m beating a dead horse here… but Resisitance FOM gun lay out was so fun, multiplayer was one of my top favorite experiences. Insomniac nailed it and I would love a remaster and maybe a redo with Reisistance 2. They listens to players who were wanting a Halo killer and it kind of lost its character from the first.

Warhawk, if they had just remade the first one not Starhawk which offered nice things like the build and battle.. but Warhawk was the best arcade shooter I ever played. Back when you didn’t have battle passes and you actually had to get certain amount of kills or ribbons to unlock different paint skins on the Warhawks and armor for your player.. Look at the success of Helldivers 2, it’s a fun game and it reminds me of Warhawk in a way. I’ve been wanting a remake or sequel since the beginning of the ps4 gen.. it’s hurts to have hope nowadays. Even with the demise of the studios Sony has a steady fan base.

Killzone game after Killzone 2 play style would be nice

Sorry bud, but the PS3 generation was amazing and featured the greatest console comeback in history.

That said, I'd love it if Warhawk returned or Metal Gear Solid 4. It needs to not be shackled to the PS3 generation anymore. A Killzone 2 remake would be insane with modern graphics and that art direction.

I really miss this gen of gaming. It felt like the last truly "great" era for videogames before the modern approach really took hold.

The PS3 was such a glorious console. The UI, the games, the free online...just incredible.

I would pay good money for a Warhawk remake. Socom too. The last Socom game just didn’t do it justice. Folklore could use a remaster or remake as well.
Several other titles I would like to remade with the amount of visual fidelity the current gen has over the past consoles it could help articulate the games that we’ve loved growing up. I would love even some ps2 titles to remade.. Dark Cloud from ps2, Legacy of Kain series but don’t know what will come of it sense it was bought by Embracer group and all there layoffs.

This strategy is exactly what helped ruin Xbox. Sony more than Microsoft know when to let a franchise go and that is important to keep things fresh. The old games are there if you want to play them.

Resistance series and Killzone 2 & 3 remasters/remakes. Make it happen. They will print money.

FF13 is top of this list for me. No matter your opinion on it, it being the only numbered offline FF out of all 16 not to be on new consoles is odd. GTA IV would be great too

I was never a huge fan of Killzone, but thoroughly enjoy Horizon. Guerrilla are superb developer and easily up there with the best of the best.

Need a killzone 2 remake from the ground up.

Great studio, loved the Killzone series, I wish they would do a remake of the first three games. Horizon is a real step up and truly put Guerrilla Games on the map.

Too bad I never got a chance to play Shellshock: Nam’67 would have loved to try that game out back in the days to see what were their beginnings.

Bring back killzone (maybe in 3rd person perspective)

It would fantastic to see what they could do in Killzone after the lessons learned through Horizon.

Or heck, give us even a short linear FPS from the people who designed Cauldron THETA in the Burning Shores expansion. Even just flying into it (after gliding around and finding its opening amongst the lava and Sunwings perched around it, with other bigger machines just along the path toward it) was an incredible experience.

Forbidden West is awesome, It’s pretty damn big compared to Zero Dawn and it takes a little while to get your skills up and get the equipment you need to fully explore the game (not going to spoil it) but once you do those things and start fighting the big ass machines it really is amazing. Some cool side quests to where you hold the fate of peoples lives by your choice and the cauldrons look amazing. Lots of skills , combos, special moves and add ons for your weapons so you can approach fights many ways. Looking forward to the name game but I wonder how/if Silas will be a part of it or not ? Sad he’s gone.
