The trial version of the next Windows operating system has won a key endorsement from a software expert at chipmaker Intel (NSDQ: INTC), a company that, despite being one of Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT)'s closest partners, was so leery of Vista that at one point it banned the widely maligned OS from its corporate workstations.
Windows 7 and companion OS Windows Server 2008, at least when it comes to the beta versions, are a whole different ball game from Vista, said Intel software developer Doug Holland, in a company blog post this week.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
I've just installed it myself, and guess what. Blue screen of death, I remember a video showing Bill Gates first introducing XP and before the start up finishes, the blue screen.
try installing software
It takes ages
Thing is, if Linux (or any other OS) allowed users to install dozens of applications (anti-virus, anti-spyware, different firewalls...), codecs, players, games with all those different copy protections (drivers - aka Starforce), SecuROM, it would probably crash more frequently than any Windows OS. No to mention that majority of users rarely (if ever) do disk check and/or defrag their HDD, but always complaining about how Windows is "crap" or "unstable". + 99% of all viruses and spyware programs are written for Windows OS. It's pretty uncommon to find Linux/Unix virus (ok, not impossible, but compraing to Windows...well, you get my point).
People just LOVE to bash Microsoft, and 90% of those people are nothing more than maybe, what is called, "advanced users" (read: Know how to install windows, but other than that, their knowledge of computers are pretty limited). :)
im using windows 7 its great and i noticed that i auto look for update for my driver from the internet then ask me to download it.
faster, easyer, cooler and look better.
i noticed something. when i was using windows XP sometime Power cable dissconnect and my betteris is dead so pc shutdown. and windows broke and need to be reintsalled. that didnt happen with me when i was using windows 7 and the pc shutted down probly 6 times and didnt happen.
Im now spending more time in win7 than xppro. Trying to get all the progs shifted here. Much stable than my lately crashing xppro. That POS keeps giving me multiple 10+ Drwatson errors in taskmanager. Dont hv time to debug it.
