Shift Up, the developer behind PS5’s critically acclaimed Stellar Blade, has achieved the largest initial public offering (IPO) in South Korea for a video game company in three years.
Bloomberg reports that the studio jumped nearly 50% on its first day of trading, with 435 billion yen raised. This makes Shift Up the first game company to clear an offering of $50 million since 2021, when Krafton’s IPO reached $3.8 billion.
Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Stellar Blade was really good. The one complaint I have is that I got punished for collecting everything and had to do another playthrough because of the different endings but maybe I should have read the trophy guide first so that’s on me hehe. Great game
Congrats to them but I also am a bit worried that with stakeholder expectations now.. poor monetization will rear its ugly head. Hopefully they keep their core values and continue to deliver on exceptional quality and make the 2nd just as, if not better than the first.

I have close to 100h in this game.. no joke lol. It was special. Let's go Korean and Chinese developers! What a breath of fresh air their games are compared to western triple a cinematic slop. Lies of P and Stellar Blade were amazing, Black Myth Wukong and Phantom Blade zero look amazing i can't wait.
Stellar Blade is my GOTY. Deserves all the praise and penny it can get.
