Early in October of last year, Nintendo revealed that the company would be publishing a third game in the Mario & Luigi series of handheld role-playing games, releasing sometime in 2009. Though the company's been relatively hush on the project since the reveal, the game's set for release in Japan next month so details of the title are starting to hit the public scene.

On January 9, 2020, Nintendo of America Inc. filled a trademark in Argentina for the name 'Mario & Luigi'. The application was submitted by intermediary Estudio Berton Moreno and is categorized as Class 9.
It is remarkable that Nintendo recently had this trademark registered - just three months after the AlphaDream bankruptcy. Although the last Mario & Luigi game title was released for the 3DS handheld, AlphaDream already opened up vacancies for a graphic designer in July 2018, working on the Switch and mobile devices.
All the Nintendo mobile games have been really bad, hopefully for the Switch.

Every once in a while a franchise will throw out a curveball with a spin-off title that is such a departure from what is expected, it is hard to believe that the two titles share the same name.
In honor of the upcoming Persona 4: Arena, a fighting game requiring quick reflexes that is at the opposite end of the spectrum from the turn-based combat married with social simulation that define the latest iterations of the JRPG series, some Press2Reset staff decided to share some of their favorite spin-offs.
Spinoffs are pretty cool! I love Ehrgeiz! Best spin off ever! Beach games are the win.
