Watching the banners it reminded me the banners in Mirrors edge PC, those kind of physics weren't included on the console versions due the lack of the PhysicX engine but it seems that the PS3 is capable of reproduce it, I hope in near future games we can see more of those dynamic physic effects in game.

mother of games that looks awesome. i was skeptical before because i didnt play the first one and wasnt sure what to expect but this video has put my mind at rest. great way to start the new year this and SF4 are the games im looking forward to this year.

A "demilitarized zone" is a place where there are NO weapons or military personnel/facilities... That tears it, I've always thought that review guy with the grumbly voice and the incessant stuttering was the worst editor at IGN. I can't take his freaking pauses before he says anything... it drives me crazy and I just want to punch him (3:33- "uh, eh,uh..."). I won't even mention all the other moronic comments he made on the footage.

He's probably a really decent guy though and I shouldn't have these feelings... sorry man.

Gameplay looks weak. The AI sort of waits for you to kill them, they look confused. The charactors don't seem mortal enough. Do they have shields?

You cannot judge gameplay on video footage, hence the reason its called gamePLAY not gameWATCH.

Gameplay is all about how it feels to control, the movement etc etc, unless the pads in your hands you havent got a clue how the game PLAYS.

Looking fantastic!!! A great start to 2009 thats for sure.

The best part of the video was when the flags caught fire and slowly burned up at the end of the video. Why? That subtlety to detail impresses me more that all the in your face stuff. It show great car and artistic pride has been taken into account.

As for the AI comments these guys usually play it on easy difficulty..where in any game you can stand around and take alot of hits.They said if you want a good challenge play it on hard or higher then see how the AI is.

They were trying to show the level and graphicsa and it would be pretty hard to do if they were dying all the time.

Due to the journalists wanting to get through the game quickly in time to meet the review deadline, they usually play on easy when the choice is given.

To be honest nothing i had seen of KZ2 had really impressed me apart from the movie that showed the plaster coming off from the pillars from bullet impact, but this video is really nice, I'm really looking forward to this now.

Yeah, reviews are usually done on easy when they can(case of too many games generally). Sometimes, though, I wonder what I'd do if it wasn't for IGN. This past year while loads of other sites seemed to have some agenda with their review scores (particularly GS andI find it funny after all the stick they got for the Q4B and Wipeout HDs poor scores(among other Sony exclusives)last year they've suddenly mellowed)basically only IGN of the big US sites stayed really objective to all platforms.Don't even mention GD, Edge or GT really don't. In fact GD should just give up as there is no redemption for that level of ineptitude.
It's sad when you feel you can only trust a few sites/people to do theior reviews hinestly but that's where we are at the minute.

Ign will give this game a 9.5/10... the only good thing that guy kept saying was the Graphics. and yes it does look good.. the sniper thing i'll have a problems with you have to hold the controller still for better aim?? I hold the PS3 controller weird in a way to where in LBP my sackboy always runs with his head down... I hope this doesn't hurt my game play experience.. will see not getting my hopes up but we'll see

i thought a good idea for GG DLC would be to offer story levels where we get to play garza during this time. i'm sure there would be other places in the game that would offer these type of downloadable level possibilities...........you listening GG?

I'm sure this is going to make it get less than 10. Hell, I know many reviewers that gave Half-Life 2 a 8/10 or a bit more, just because the teammate AI was bad. Killzone 2 will be good, but it is not perfect. Bad teammate AI and it has no co-op, co-op is one of the most important things on a FPS.

the graphics, the gameplay all look to have taken a hit, the animations dont look as good as what has been shown previously, and the AI is horrendous, look at my previous posts, I am impressed with KZ2 but not this footage thats for sure.

ok now i have played the demo (gamestop is handing em out) and i have never been a killzone fan. the first 1 was a mindless shooter that appealed to me for about a week then i traded it in. not gonna say it wasnt good just not my cup of tea. so i decided h311 ill jump on the bandwagon for the 2nd one. visual it is the best looking console game on the market hands down. i was struck with a huge smile of how great it looked. now if u have a pc (like i do) u know it isnt the best looking game ever but on a console h311 yes it reign supreme.

now im guesing to compensate for the amazing graphics they gave the game a rather dull story and gameplay. dont say im a troll blah blah blah let me finish first. lol. just like number 1 it is a mindless shooter. point click blow someone to h311. it is what every greater shooter is made of but it is its own game. it does borrow a few things here and there from the best shooters and it has its own little taste. i liked it but i guess the hype of the game killed it for me. the demo was clean almost unbugged and glitched. it has very dull points in the game like ne other shooter where u do nothing. but sometimee u get into a bullets of fury gun mode. when the game kicks in and people r just coming at you things get really fun. after that it gets massively boring.

in my own conclusion imma buy the game its solid and i enjoyed the demo very much. hope theres a little story in this game. i mean just a little. but i will admit for a mindless shooter it is well done.

Sony really does need another mainline shooter franchise. They pretty much gave up after the PS3 generation, and I'm really surprised they haven't tried at another high-profile, singleplayer-centric shooter; even if it weren't Killzone or Resistance.

I miss Killzone while I can see why they still do Horizon has some really good things but I do think that Horizon is overrated imo.

Or how about studios focus on projects that they feel passionate about, and not be forced to make something they have little interest in. It shows in the final product.

It’s still got potential for the modern era. The DNA is all there. The install base is there. The interest is there. The time is now.

I’m beating a dead horse here… but Resisitance FOM gun lay out was so fun, multiplayer was one of my top favorite experiences. Insomniac nailed it and I would love a remaster and maybe a redo with Reisistance 2. They listens to players who were wanting a Halo killer and it kind of lost its character from the first.

Warhawk, if they had just remade the first one not Starhawk which offered nice things like the build and battle.. but Warhawk was the best arcade shooter I ever played. Back when you didn’t have battle passes and you actually had to get certain amount of kills or ribbons to unlock different paint skins on the Warhawks and armor for your player.. Look at the success of Helldivers 2, it’s a fun game and it reminds me of Warhawk in a way. I’ve been wanting a remake or sequel since the beginning of the ps4 gen.. it’s hurts to have hope nowadays. Even with the demise of the studios Sony has a steady fan base.

Killzone game after Killzone 2 play style would be nice

Motorstorm would be epic with the visual upgrade, maybe this game would be a harder sell with the genre being not as popular nowadays..

Sorry bud, but the PS3 generation was amazing and featured the greatest console comeback in history.

That said, I'd love it if Warhawk returned or Metal Gear Solid 4. It needs to not be shackled to the PS3 generation anymore. A Killzone 2 remake would be insane with modern graphics and that art direction.

I really miss this gen of gaming. It felt like the last truly "great" era for videogames before the modern approach really took hold.

The PS3 was such a glorious console. The UI, the games, the free online...just incredible.

I would pay good money for a Warhawk remake. Socom too. The last Socom game just didn’t do it justice. Folklore could use a remaster or remake as well.
Several other titles I would like to remade with the amount of visual fidelity the current gen has over the past consoles it could help articulate the games that we’ve loved growing up. I would love even some ps2 titles to remade.. Dark Cloud from ps2, Legacy of Kain series but don’t know what will come of it sense it was bought by Embracer group and all there layoffs.

This strategy is exactly what helped ruin Xbox. Sony more than Microsoft know when to let a franchise go and that is important to keep things fresh. The old games are there if you want to play them.

Resistance series and Killzone 2 & 3 remasters/remakes. Make it happen. They will print money.

FF13 is top of this list for me. No matter your opinion on it, it being the only numbered offline FF out of all 16 not to be on new consoles is odd. GTA IV would be great too
