This is honestly a ridiculous claim to be upset about. If it doesn't affect you, then you shouldn't worry about it. Those affected will have a workaround, or they risk refunds, so Sony will have a solution. Stop pretending you are so righteous in caring about those people you most likely don't play with.

Weird...maybe this problem is unique to Helldivers 2? I live in China, the official Chinese psn game library is a joke , so I have to sign other region psn for my ps5, right now I have 3 region accounts (hk, jp , us), I don't remember having any trouble signing up, all I need is 3 different email addresses...

Okay, sure. But then the PC version shouldn't be sold in regions where people can't 'legally' sign up for a PSN account to meet that requirement.

@Christopher are you in such a country? Many pc players in these countries have to sign in using fake foreign accounts anyways for other platforms they know how to get around this issue. There is this constant phony outrage machine that gets spun up for any Sony story.

Singing into an acct in a region that they are not in puts them at risk of being banned from the game all together. It's not fake outrage, it's people simply not wanting to go through extra hoops AFTER the fact. Its a SONY property but the game belongs to the people that bought it, taking it away unless you agree to some bs arbitrary terms after the fact is theft.

@darth, Sony shouldn't do anything save for the very few who may have legit problems creating a ps account in a jurisdiction that doesn't have it. I doubt that's even a problem for 99% of players. For the rest of pc players it should be mandatory, it's a playstation game they're entitled to require an account be logged into. Gamers need to grow up and stop with the phony childish outrage campaigns. Proves that pc gamers are just as childish to.

seriously... dont be a jerk. Its not that people dont want to create accounts... its that many CANT create accounts. As for MS, their account creation services are available in 190 countries. Steam in 150 and PSN in 70.

Analytics is taking data and analyzing it, so saying that isn't quite helping your argument since the question is the type of data being collected. You're attempting to compare how people play to what I'm talking about which is more about what the user does when logged in with their PSN account. From not only playing the game but their actions while logged in, how they interact with the UI, what other apps they use while playing, do they watch videos, etc. It's way more than just what's happening in the game.

I doubt they'll reverse the "update" but at the very least, they should refund everyone in countries that don't have PSN available and explain why the game wasn't region-locked for them, in the first place
