TeamXbox writes: "James Silva's life has drastically changed. At one point, he was a wannabe game developer in upstate New York. Almost an eye blink after that, he's onstage at a Microsoft press conference at the Game Developers Conference, held up as a shining example of how wannabe game developers can become actual game developers, thanks to the XNA Studio suite of programming tools.
Silva's game, The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, had been a winner in Microsoft's Dream-Build-Play competition in 2007, which was put together to find the best XNA games the community could put together. Silva created Dishwasher himself-which Microsoft confidently used to reveal how easy the tools are in the game-creation process-and by virtue of the win, found himself the recipient of $10,000 and a contract to have the game become an Xbox Live Arcade release. (Dishwasher was actually a joint winner of that year's first prize, sharing the honor with Blazing Birds.)"

Join us for seven achievements and trophies that really need some explaining."

The first Front Towards Gamer Radio interview in over a year, and we kick off 2015 with a doozy! Do you like Dark Souls? Well, what about a stylized, 2D Dark Souls? Well, look no further, because James and Michelle Silva, the two-headed juggernaut that makes up Ska Studios, has just the answer for you with Salt and Sanctuary! The Silvas also talk about where they came up with the concept of one of their first big hits, The Dishwasher, the transition from being an Microsoft developer and jumping over to Sony for the PS4, and why they changed their name from the original studio name, Totally Screwed?

Console Monster writes: "Today I had the opportunity to sit down with James Silva and Michelle Juett Silva, the folks behind the Dishwasher and Charlie Murder games. They took a bit of time to answer some questions about their latest title 'Salt and Sanctuary' and give some insight on the development process over at SkaStudios."
