Having sold more than a million copies on Xbox 360, there's little doubt that a sequel is coming. Rather than wait for Capcom to announce Dead Rising 2 and provide any gameplay details, IGN decided to dive right in and decide what additions should be made for the sequel.

The Dead Rising series has enjoyed a long and storied history over the years, but which game in the series is best?

Over the last week, Jake has been going back to the Dead Rising 2 Off The Record remaster and has been an absolute blast. When he was 15 he first got his Xbox 360 and Dead Rising with it, it was unlike any other experience. It made him wonder though, what happened to the Dead Rising series.
Interesting timing. This retrospective was released just a few days ago: https://youtu.be/Et-cKSrWuc...
They took away the depth and charm of the game that made it fun and interesting, and made it into a generic zombie killing game.
This was the series the got me to buy an Xbox 360. The first one was so good. It still had horror elements. As it went on it became kind of a parody. Never forget getting Zombie Genecider achievement and then restarting the game to get the Mega Buster. That thing was monstrous against enemies.

Some video game weapons are so outlandish they could never realistically be used, and that's why they're on our list of the 10 most impractical weapons in gaming.
Always wanted to play this on he ps3 shame i had to wait until the second one
Benches, lots of benches.
"Really Hilary shut up. You're such a blatant sony fanboy. It's just amazing how you have the audacity to even remain at IGN 360."
QFT!
If you remember (outside of COD) this was the first cool game the 360 had. Microsoft paid BIG to make sure "Sony" couldn't sniff it for a long time. You see it's on Wii because MS didn't care about the Wii back when the bribe was set out. Anyway, don't worry PS3 owners. Even though they took the money doesn't mean they don't want more money, if you get the idea. Keep your eyes open :)
I am still trying to finish the first game. It is truly a hardcore game if you are trying to save all the survivors. Blaim it on the AI or whatever but it takes a lot of skill to safely escort 50 survivors. I hope that save system as well as the escort missions are revised. Otherwise a gem of a game. Too bad the Wii version isn't cutting it. I was actually interested to see if it added anything...or at least made it easier :-p
