Is your drive formatted in FAT16? If so, there was a limitation on FAT16 that only let you work with 2GB partitions. Upgrading to FAT32 or NTFS solves that.

Not sure exactly what your problem is, but at least this is a lead you can follow.

I doubt his drive is formatted to FAT16, unless he's running Windows 3.1.

@Rice, try posting a screenshot or a detailed list of your partition table. Yes, you need to create a new partition to be safe.

From my experiences so far with the Beta I would tell you go ahead. It's stable and works great.

Yeah but the problem is it will run out in August, so it is best not to use it as your primary operating system since come August you will be up the creak without a paddle.

I have it installed as a dual boot with Vista, overall it's very "meh" one of the first things I tried was installing GTA 4 on Win7 to see if there is any performance enhancement. Let me tell ya it was an exercise in frustration getting GTA 4 working with Win7.

Finally when I did get the game working I saw a massive 2fps improvement on win7 which to be honest could just be down to the fact my Vista install is well over a year old. So game wise I don't think there will be much of an improvement over Vista.

I'm Dl'ing now waiting on my fiancee, I'm slightly worried about having to delete XP. I don't think I have a reboot CD so I need to check before I install this because I really want this.
