First Turok multiplayer details

Propaganda Games today revealed the first details of the multiplayer mode in Turok, that will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 sometime this year.

The game will feature online play with at least 16 players at the same time. Also, dinosaurs will be in the multiplayer mode. This will give a nice gameplay twist; will you be traveling through the woods with the chance of facing some dinosaurs, or will you be climbing the dino-free rocks, but making yourself an easy target for your enemies?

I remember playing the heck out of the multiplayer for the N64. I think it was Turok 2 that had the best multiplayer and weapons. Remember that crazy weapon that dug in your brain? I just remember that squeeling sound it always made. This game will kick ass on xbox live!

Could you imagine trying to capture the flag with your team only to walk in to a field full of hungry Dinosaurs. It would make trying score harder and a lot of fun.

Nightdive Studios Quietly Uploaded A Native PS5 Version Of The Original Turok, Now Runs At 120FPS

After releasing remasters of all three original Turok games, starting with the first two games in 2021 and then Turok 3 in 2023, Nightdive Studios has quietly updated the first Turok game with a native PS5 update.

Beyond the bug fixes and general cleaning-up that comes with most patches these days, the big thing about the PS5 version for the original Turok is that if you have a TV that can support it, you’ll be able to play Turok at 120FPS now.

Turok: A Game Series in Need of a Reboot

The Turok series has been languishing without a new title for more than a decade. It's about time we got a reboot.

I'm all for it, I loved the originals... I just don't think, just like w the original Prey, that the main character can survive in this current political climate. Native characters seem untouchable at the moment. I think it can be shown the right respect, but there's always someone getting upset about something these days, they would find a way to cancel it.

BriBri1089d ago

I can't think of a game that's been cancelled because of the race of the main character.

Honestly, I would prefer if they just ported/remastered Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion to modern platforms. So we could have access to the "original 3 games". Because I don't see how to really reboot Turok. It's a product of its time being a mixture of platforming/fps and puzzle.

And I really don't see all those elements being preserved on a Reboot.

I would prefer Dino Crisis remake from Capcom. Still, a remade Turok would get my attention.

Forgets about the 2008 reboot*
I'd rather have a sequel to Turok 3, tbh.

We unfortunately do not have enough quality dino games. Theres Horizon but they're robots, and Monster Hunter that I can only think of. I'd like to see Turok make a comeback some day.
