With the Switch being Nintendo's second best-selling console ever, it's no surprise the company isn't quite ready to say goodbye to the platform yet.

Cole Young almost made the jump from movie newcomer to game canon in Mortal Kombat 1, but a last-minute time crunch shut it down.

A rare first-party Nintendo games sale has just gone live on Amazon with around a dozen of the company's titles discounted.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.
I can see this I've been playing a some recent games on the switch lately totk and Mario wonder and my main takeaway is there's extremely bright sections of these games present almost as if there's meant to be a level of HDR implementation despite the switch not having it at all.
Also paper Mario the thousand year door remaster has a strong focus on lighting again pushing up against the switches real hardware limitations
Along with the recent leaks of upcoming games featuring the European SNES button colours despite being on switch and largely using the same black and grey button layout for games since it came out.
It seems like all of this is hunting to a switch successor going the route of cross generation games at least initially and why not Afterall the switch has over 100 million in sales
They have a history of doing the complete opposite, so it's hard to believe they will.
Gotta love it.
Well of course, its hard to simply abandon roughly 90 - 1000 million players, wouldn't it? So yeah, expect a long cross-gen period just like PS4 and XBO went through. I know the Switch has sold over 135 million units, but I'm talking about unique players, as an example, I own 3 Switches, but I don't represent 3 total players.
I'm just praying for backwards compatibility because I sold my Switch and game collection but want to repurchase a majority of those games again in the future and would like them to run on the new hardware.
