Sometimes you really have great taste with the gameplay videos and previews you submit.
Dark Void and Prototype, good on 'ya. Have a bubble.

EDIT: Hey, this guy has some great taste for multiplats, no matter what console we see him siding on.

I like the gameplay element, but all i see people killing and blowing stuff up. I really hope that it's nothing like hulk or mercenaries 2.

and the graphics could be better.
btw, that one guy is a mgs soldier.

My point exactly. Its like radical ran out of ideas and just decided to reuse the same moves the created for incredible hulk. Like 70% of prototype moves are in hulk WTF...i know some devs are lazy but common. I already paid for hulk now give me something new

hammerfist is a hulk move. The running animations and the running up the walls all hulk moves the floating thing he does in the air is a hulk move. The elbow drop move is a hulk move. Jumping up on hellicopters hulk move. Using human bodies to surf is a hulk move (though hulk uses a tank).

Wrong both look amazing. At first I was all for Infamous over Prototype, until this trailer came out (the other Prototype trailers were bland).

The city in Prototype looks a little bland, meaning it's just people walking around then they run for their live when you start killing. Infamous is the same way, but there's more interaction within the city from what I've seen so far.

I loved the guy gliding through the air in Prototype that's just FN awesome, he just free fall and smashes into the ground. Infamous has it too, but Prototypes kills Infamous in this regard.

Finally getting around the city, the Prototype guy just runs and leaps through the city Hulk style which is kind of last gen, but it still looks cool especially running up the side of building (that's sick). Infamous jumping looks OK, the climbing animations look sick, but Infamous wins to me, because I saw a clip on IGN where the main guy (Cole I believe) was grinding on the power lines traveling through the city, that's bad@$$.

Both games look great, but I think Infamous will be the better game, but Prototype will be more fun. By this I mean Infamous will require more skill and learning of the powers where's as prototype will have kind of that God of War feeling of ripping people to shreds. If Crackdown 2 comes out this years it's going to have some tough competition.

Speaking of God of War that's going to be the best.

I'm admittedly a PS3 Exclusive whore and have been following the progress of Infamous since the first trailer but I fear Sucker Punch may have the weaker game of the two. Prototype is looking quite spectacular, amazing variety of powers and moves demoed in these videos. No harm really, I'll be picking up both and finally getting away from FPS gaming, I'm determined that Killzone 2 is the last FPS game I play for this year. 2009 is looking like a good year for action games.

The only two ill be looking forward to is K2 and CODMW2. Those are the only two for me right now. I honestly think I have too many FPS and NO variety at all. Maybe MAG too only because its Zipper, but that probably won't get released this year though

while i am impressed with the amount of onscreen action going on at the same time. I have to question why there are all these people milling in the middle of a street in the middle of a military warzone... Are they zombies or converted creatures? why aren't they trying to run from the main charc? He's just killing everyone and nobody seems to fear the guy. People usually run and hide when shooting explosions and destruction starts happening. They don't just mill around...(ok it looks like they might be zombies... but I think the representation isn't clear. At first i thought they were people who got into the huge traffic pileup and were bleeding from their injuries...)

Lastly, while I am impressed by the sense of destruction that can be committed, I find the wanton violence very sensless and distasteful. There is just way to much decapitation and bloody explosions for my liking. This has got to be one of the MOST gratuitously violent game I've ever seen. killing bystanders in GTA4 is one thing (shoot em or fist fight em) but this game takes it to a whole another level of nonsensical mass murder. Shoot spikes out of the ground and watch bystanders getting gored isn't that fun... The main character is soo powerful that it doesn't seem to present the challenge that getting a 5 star in GTAIV does. He can fly away, camoflauge himself instantly, and can blow tanks up with a punch or gore everyone with a wide area effect attack. O_o

^^ I agree. The extreme violence in that games turns me off bit. Even though it looks pretty in the making. But another monster slaughter game ? I assume these people are not real humans, are they ?

Ju, those people are normal infected, kinda like zombies. That gooey thing on the streets is a result of that.
Also, what's wrong with blood and gore? It rules and so does the Prototype.

I don't know. Maybe its just my cultural background ? Where I come from its nothing to get excited about. And I really can't understand all this hype as soon as a gore fest hits the streets. Sorry, that's nothing for me.

I'm the same as Ju with the cultural and background playing against wanton violence like this. I think this game already will be greatly limited to US and Uk b/c of its gratuitous bloodletting.

Prototype definitely seems faster paced for sure. I like both games and thank goodness there will most likely be some distanced between them. If they were released close to one another, I would have had to choose

Erm... The graphics are lacking, I don't know I guess it looks fun, it honestly looks like a Mercs expansion pack, I'll buy inFamous and rent Prototype.

Please, please, please take the flying out, that just looks ridiculous.

It sure does look fun though :D

InFamous would seem to have the more solid gameplay. imo

This looks great, though. And Radical Entertainment are on the come up.

You know what, just admit this is a GOOD entertaining looking game, even if its equal to Infamous, does it matter?
PS3 owners can play both or choose, 360 owners can't (unless Crackdown 2 is soon on the horizon for sure, anyway)

This is year of the quality, original gaming multiplat, Prototype, Dark Void and Brutal Legend will set the way for new original good old fashioned fun gaming.

Lets throw the biased side out and lets celebrate it as one as these are multiplat and noones going to miss out what ever console we choose to support the most.

I'm reserving my judgement until i see a semblance of a story or purpose. The sandbox destruction demonstration is great but I don't want a game that would just revolve around wrecking everyone and everything. I'm actually put off by the lack of video variety so far. There isn't a sense of moral dilemmas, of walking a light or darkside, or even a social tie to people or characters in the city. I want to see some other game modes other than just utter anarchy. Just my two cents.

Infamous looks like dark sector with electricity. I rather rip people apart and glide threw the air and run up building walls.

But I have to admit, Prototype has come a long way from the trailers I've seen last year and the game looks good. DAMN good. I noticed some of the previous comments said the graphics are average. But they look fine to me. Plus look how bloody the game gets. I remember when I said I wouldn't buy this game. Now I'm starting to reconsider that statement

Its not even finished yet, being polished up until Summer, I think.

It will be an incredible experience and for me, so far what I've seen of it, could be a candidate of GoTY already.

I just had a feeling that this game, will be great. Right from the start, also, people are forgetting the consuming/stealth element and focusing on the wild, monstereous powers.

I'm not so sure on that one. But then again, it comes down to opinion.

In fact, now that I think about it, I can't think of any GOTY candidates aside from Killzone 2 at the moment. Heavy Rain and Alan Wake we need to see more of. FF 13 might not even be out this year. Those are just GOTY possible contenders off the top of my head.

But in my opinion, saying Prototype is a possible GOTY contender might be a bit much. Again, just my opinion

Well, not GoTY, theres too many candidates for that already, especially Killzone2 (Stunning) and Uncharted2, even God of War III if it makes it this year (because MS haven't released their deck yet), hell, any first party Sony exclusive...well, Prototype is a sleeper hit in my view anyway.
Hopefully it'll get deserved appraisal for just being damn right fun.

Just kinda forgot whats in store for games (especially Sony's arsenal), it'll suprise people anyway, just hope it gets noticed by everyone.

If this game turns out good, I really hope it gets the praise and sales it deserves. Nothing annoys me more than when good games sell like crap and shovelware games make a fortune.

It's like basically saying to a developer if you don't give a damn about what you make, you'll get rich and if you put effort and care into your product, your effort will go unnoticed.

And thanks, you just reminded me of Uncharted and God of War ( I can't believe I forgot those)

this game looks like rubbish and anyone who thinks this looks good doesn't have any sense or play on standard def. telys. this game has a lot of potential but from what i can tell by the video, its just a bit over the top with all the violence and it looks like it can get boring fast. the graphics are bad and the ai looks stupid in all the videos and i dent know anything about the story but i'm not in the least bit interested in this game. anyone who thinks this has a chance to be better than infamous is either silly or doesn't have a ps3.

the storyline in infamous is very intriguing and the powers the main character has isn't over the top too powerful to where he seems almost invincible. prototype looks ok but the graphics first off turns me off and the ai looks stupid. the main character in prototype seems too powerful but probably the gameplay is balanced out, i dont know. other than all of that, it looks like a bad game that wants to impress sick people that are into gratuitous violence. its not my type of game and it needs better graphics and ai and it also probably needs to be on 2 or 3 discs on the xbox and at leasts 25 gigs on ps3. im quite sure the reason it looks horrible is because its an open world game like gta 4 or infamous and it looks like gta 4. i wonder why infamous looks way better than gta 4 and prototype.

i know alot of people are going to be upset because of my opinions or what im insinuating but why is it that ps3 exclusives look way better than all other exclusives on other systems or multiplatform games?this game in my opinion looks like rubbish.

everything is not for everyone and this game isnt for me. it looks silly and i'm too spoiled these days after playing games without frame rate problems , slow downs or glitches. ive played gt 5 prologue, resistance 2, mgs 4 and the killzone 2 beta without any issuses with silly ai, bad graphics or slowdowns. anyway, my standards are too high these days and i will get infamous but i wont get this game, it needs a lot of polishing that is impossible to do on 1 dvd9 disc. have a nice day.

This game looks super lame. GTA 4 is miles better than this and we all know how that played out.. this is definitely one of those games you play for about an hour than just say screw this sh%t pop back in gears 2 or resistance 2.

Looks like the game will have no storyline at all too.. Just run around and do dumb stuff.. Infamous will defintely be way better than this game.. Its already getting a lot of praise.. and there seems to be a good story behind the game unlike this game..
