IGN : While Baldur's Gate 3 is being widely celebrated by fans and developers alike, some are panicking that this could set new expectations from fans. Good. In this opinion from Destin Legarie we explore why fans feel this way and why they're celebrating games like Baldur's Gate 3, and Elden Ring.

Hasbro and The Last of Us show's co-creator are developing a Baldur’s Gate TV series that'll follow on from the events of Baldur's Gate 3.
Oooof. I have very little hope for this with how badly they screwed up Season 2. I loved and re-watched the first season of The Las of Us 4-5 times now. Only watched season 2 once and will not be watching Season 3 unless I'm very bored. The fact that Larian isn't involved is also another red flag.
TLOU show creator…oh God
There’s a reason why the show went from “Season 4 and possibly beyond” to “it might end at Season 3”
From what I have read, The Last of Us season 2 woes, was because of Neil Druckman. I have hope for season 3 now that he is out if the equation. I have hope for BG live action show. Its also being worked in by the team that did Chernobyl.

A new Baldur’s Gate 3 mod lets you play the Early Access version again, restoring deleted scenes, NPCs, and more.

Larian Studios is unable to work on a Nintendo Switch 2 port of Baldur's Gate 3 amid a shaky relationship with the IP owner, Hasbro.
Shaky Relationship meaning Hasbro wanted an even larger cut of the pie moving forward. Also why we're not getting BG4 w/Larian. Hasbro just wanted to bleed them dry.
Because they are busy for the next Divinity game on Switch 2. Fine by me because I already have BG3 on my PS5, and believe me or not, I didn't finish it. Considering I bought the Deluxe edition to play it ahead of everyone. XD
if this were able to run on the switch 2, then theoretically the PS4 pro should be able to as well. can't wait for that port
That's good we need devs to feel pressure
BG3 Sets the bar high, some devs that attend/speak at gdc don't want high quality, they want to push push push (regardless of quality) shit.
You mean like how a team of 400 people managed to make such a high quality single player game without any scummy anti-gamer business practices.
Ubisoft sweating in the corner…
When I used to play Worms 2 online with one of my buddies in 99 at least one of them would rave about the original game, Command & Conquer and also Age of Empires. Really popular games back in the day.
Good. They should panic. I'm tired of paying $101 CAD for unfinished trash.
