Blizzard has already taken some of its first steps to undo some of the damage from its recent controversial patch.

A circulating Game Awards teaser statue prompted speculation about Diablo and God of War, but key industry figures state it is tied to neither franchise.
It could either be a new IP, or a long dormant IP that we don't know about. A deep piece of lore that nobody has picked up on. If it's a new IP, what the point of doing this teaser? Nobody will figure it out and it's weird marketing. I'll say it's a old IP making a comeback.
The only game I can think of that involves a wolf and a crocodile might be Rampage, but there is no way their rebooting that IP like this
Could it be SAROS ??? Looks like it might be part of that world design. Alien architecture idk
Deeper analysis on it. If an old IP. It's definitely not in the past 10 years. I think it's a game from the past 20+ years. Why? Well nobody so far is able to figure out what this statue is. Which brings me to think it could be niche 20+ plus year old game. Again New IP? I mean viral marketing can happen but this type of. Marketing makes 0 sense so the chance of a new game are very Slim. IMO of course.
Do I think it's a big game. Tbh it's geoff. Though tbh he's gotten allot better at hyping and tempering expections. I think it'll be divided, niche title that some will be crazy excited for it others will be scratching heads or pissed off. Reception, divided.
It’s Legend of Dragoon 2!!!! Yah I know I’m reaching but a man can dream right?

Ken writes: "We ask Diablo co-creator David Brevik about the challenges faced by Diablo 4 today, and if he likes Diablo 2 Resurrected's preservation."
1. Don't lock seasons. Let people switch between them and experience the content at their leisure.
2. Stop locking appearance items behind paywalls. You've even made it so you can't unlock as much as before, making it apparent you don't care about giving the content to people, just forcing them to pay for it. Do you think people care about working through new content if they're not going to get anything out of it unless they give your money? The store is littered with money only cosmetics, keep the seasonal stuff obtainable without money.
3. Make every build viable. This game is a big cookie cutter reliant game and you haven't grasped the idea that people want power fantasies and not limitations. But then you expect them to keep rolling up new characters? Make it make sense.
Just don't care about the game anymore. Baldur's Gate 3 arriving has already cleansed my palate of D4. Not going to finish D4's story and I'm for sure not starting season 1 when it is just a battle pass completion grind.
The only thing this prevented was faster leveling with others it seems. With the FOMO hunt for unique gear they are going to implement, they really shouldn't be preventing people from leveling up to 60 quickly with new characters, especially seeing as they'll have to restart all new characters with the season and accomplish heart-specific tasks.
More and more I feel that if Blizzard wanted a PoE approach they should have done that. It seems weird trying to mix their old style of games with that model. They also should have diversified how skills work together rather than the very strict crit, dot, cc, tank models they've created.
Hold down attack, The Game. So glad I didn’t get caught up in the hype of this game, Diablo, while great, hasn’t changed much and like many releases these days, better waiting until game is patched, fully featured, and on sale.
Review bombing doesn't work...
All you needed to do was put yourself in the player's shoes. I don't know how in the holy hell y'all thought these decisions were good.
I feel like game devs are getting far more detached and out of touch with gaming and what gamers want. There's no other way I can justify a lot of these decisions being made. You had something good, you had people having fun with it, and your immediate reaction is to take that away? Why, to make the game less fun!?
Please, can someone explain to me the rationale behind this?
