Today Xbox Corporate Vice President of Game Creator Experience & Ecosystem Sarah Bond commented on the proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft.

Rockstar has launched an official marketplace for "every server and every player" to buy mods: Cfx Marketplace.
I wonder how much of this isn't just taken work of others who have modded for free.
Edit: Also, great way for R* to take popular ideas and build them into GTAVI based on demand.
Ah, perfect timing with them taking down the Bully online fan mod. Greedy a$$ company.
I'm not entirely sure how to read this, as it doesn't seem exactly like an exact parallel to Bethesda's paid mods shenanigans.
Rather than single player stuff, this appears to be aimed solely on Cfx Servers. From what I've gleaned, apparently Rockstar bought the Cfx mod team several years ago, coming a few years after weird contentions led them to ban a few of their members. Ultimately, the question is if they plan to keep this contained to only online/servers.
I have to guess to a degree yes. It'd be pretty hard to "force" paid mods for single player when modding files locally on your own machine, but much easier for servers they'll control. So perhaps this is their soft launch ahead of GTA6 online and they'll clamp down more tightly on non-official servers going forward? Ever since they've become a 1 or 2 property studio, I haven't really cared much for Rockstar stuff, so I'm not entirely up on everything surrounding this. Sounds like it has the potential to be problematic further down the line, but right now fairly easy to ignore...I think lol.

Former CEO describes lawsuit filed by Swedish pension fund as a "collateral attack" on Activision Blizzard.
Kotick Made $155 million from MS in the buyout, the little b*tch needs to stop whining. Thanks to this Microslop deal and massive industry consolidation thousands upon thousands of devs and other workers lost their livelihoods. This greedy piggie pervert needs shut up and f-off.

Translation: "Thanks for cheering on your favorite Trillion dollar company and thanks for supporting us on our quest to consolidate the gaming market. Monopoly isn't just a board game, it's one of the fundamentals of our business. Thank you."
I dont think fans are supporting this deal, this deals looks alot more like a cover up of someones arse starting with Kotick.
Look, I just want two consoles to be dishing out exceptional exclusives, so we get a better grudge match going on here. It'd be nice to get back to the Xbox 360 days... but geezus why is it this hard for Xbox to get back to that? Like instead of spending trillions on an acquisition why not spend a fraction of that getting studios like Capcom, Square, FromSoft, etc. to make AAA exclusives for you?
I mean I get COD being huge, but you can build up an awesome portfolio that will attract a lot of users over time. Where's the Spider-Man equivalent for Xbox, or a Bloodborne like game from FromSoft... it blows my mind how much this division stumbles over itself.
Oh but, then you have good guy Phil over here congratulating the completion for kicking his ass. I wish this guy would put his game face on and start being more aggressive with getting exclusive games made, like Sony does, over trying to buy the damn publishers outright.
If Microsoft wins this what are gamers winning/gaining? Also If they lose this, gamers lose. We need more competition and we need to support(buy more games) the industry. If Redfall went to all platform I don’t think it would have released in the state it was in. Furthermore if Sony felt any competition they would have had a better showcase. I can’t imagine a world without Xbox. I always loved when the PS and Xbox push the industry. Xbox has been slacking now PS is starting to slack.
P.s. if I get downvoted for this you are part of the problem this lackluster generation we are having!
