ps2 from 2005 vs modern era

It better not look worse ha ha

SullysCigar1090d ago

Just looks the same to me. If there is a difference, it's subtle.

Honestly I was kind of hoping it would be going for a more MGSV route to transform and widen up the original game instead of a shot for shot remake… but I’ll still take it I suppose…

KyRo1090d ago

Praise the lord it's nothing like MGSV. That game butchered everything that made MGS a true MGS experience

Funny how people praise Peace Walker but not Phantom Pain. MGS5 does everything that PW does but better. And if the complaint is the story is barely there, then clearly we've forgotten all the complaints Sons of the Patriots got for it's long scenes and codex calls. Phantom Pain still has the story but it's in optional recordings you can listen to during gameplay in the background. MGSV is objectively the best playing Metal Gear. If it's to be looked down on for anything it's that it's unfinished, which is Konami's fault.

@Becuzisaid
Look Gameplaywise MGSV is fucking great, brilliant even. Definitely felt updated at the time.
But for a MGS to have a barely all there story kinda makes not feel MGS as it should have.
I know a complaint about MGS series is long cutscenes and codex calls...but I don't care. MGS3 was the pinnacle, with MGS4 right behind it.
I gave no fucks about how long the ending in MGS4 was when I got to it, I understand its not for everyone...but so what? I feel like a lot more MGS fans prefer us getting the Kojima Movie Cinematic Treatment, than ones who would actually play it if the cutscenes were more manageable.
But I will definitely agree gameplay wise MGSV was the shit

Just the updated controls will be worth buying for. MGS3 has very clunky controls for today’s gaming. We need proper 3rd person shooter control

"Why WHY!!! even bother god damnit!, graphics aren't all!, is gameplay what matters, visuals are ok back then, just release again the old MGS and I will happily pay 100 dlls for it, so I can make a giant robot constrictor that pisses fire"

That's what well Im not sure but maybe a Sw1#$tch Owner would say imo. :D

I still haven’t bought it yet, I want to, but I also have every metal gear game on ps3, vita and pc too. I honestly feel more like I can just wait

Planning on buying it once it hits a nice price.

Happy for that. It's one of my favourite games since PS2 days. And the remake is great, especially when you turn on Legacy filter in settings. Hope that Konami will continue making remakes, as I want the original MGS to be remade.
