Call of Duty: World at War takes you deep into the South Pacific and Europe to witness firsthand the climactic battles of WWII that led to the demise of the Axis powers. The game throws out the rulebook of war to transform WWII combat through a new enemy, new tactics and an uncensored (i.e. gruesome) experience. As U.S. Marines and Russian soldiers, you employ new features like cooperative gameplay and weapons - such as a flamethrower - in the most chaotic and cinematically intense experience to date. Seriously, a first-person shooter has never been so frenetic, with Kamikaze fighters, ambush attacks and Banzai charges all attempting to take you out."

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Terminus Island map is recreated for World at War and it looks scarier than the original version!

Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.

A very devoted fan of Call of Duty: World at War racks up incredible in-game stats while playing regularly for the past 15 years.
Of course you will hit a ridiculous stat after 15 of anything.
My main character for Everquest had over 500 days played in the first 6 years of the game. I was young then and had a lot of time on my hands. I don’t think I could duplicate that again until I retire and not sure I could match it if I tried.
I played the campaign in evening and finished it in ... (not going to spoil) a while...
then played the zombies was fun, played online was fun... until... people started glitching in the PS3 version getting mad zombies scores and going under 4 of the maps (maybe more...) making the game an online crap...
my biggest complain about this game its exactly that.. the online portion of the game wasn't fixed at all from COD4 to this one, there are hit detection issues especially when you trying to shot the host... in COD4 hit detection its almost instant less than half a second... I'd say about 1/4 of a sec, and in COD5 its abou 3 times more, no matter if you are host there's something wrong with it. but glitching people going under the map made me quit the game, plus it doesn't have the crack COD4 had.
treyarc (or however you spell it) didn't do their homework and I sold my copy
you guys better rent it before buying
