"Redfall is Arkane's most fun game"

Wow. This reviewer just gets it. This game is more fun than any other Arkane game. I look forward to future reviews from this person. This guy's tastes just align with the majority of gamers/s

KillBill1095d ago

What he aligns with is people actually playing the game versus those that have chosen not to based on others reviews or simply not even having the game on their system of choice.

jznrpg1096d ago (Edited 1096d ago )

I guess that when you look below to see other articles for Redfall they are trying to get all strangely good scores up top instead of the 100 3-5/10 score that it got.

Futureshark1096d ago

Seems to be the MS brown envelopes have started arriving in Spain.

Kurt Russell1096d ago

At least they match the brown games I 'spose.

An onslaught of positive reviews on here

Oh. All submitted by the same person

That makes sense…

Hofstaderman1096d ago

Really weak attempt. Everybody and their pets know this game is crap. Retail copies are not selling at our local stores and even XBOX owners are openly stating that it is a big letdown. A massive retailer has confirmed that they placing less orders for Series stock and inventory will be ps5 prioritised for Spider-Man release. Asked the manager if the Spider-Man bundles are confirmed from supplier but he declined to comment. He did say it doesn’t matter, they will sell heaps of PS5s and individuals copies irrespective. He also confirmed that there is a bundled sku other than FFXVI which hasn’t been revealed as yet.

Chevalier1096d ago

Ouch. My friends Gamestop had a single preorder. Lol

CantThinkOfAUsername1096d ago

Even if Spider-Man 2 is complete ass it'll still sell boatloads more than Redfall. People weren't interested in the game to begin with. You could see it on its reveal trailer.

-Foxtrot1096d ago

Sad thing is if you see the Reddit for Redfall you already have people defending it.

Like it’s one thing to play a shit, badly made game and find fun in it despite knowing it’s bad

It’s another to play it, know it’s bad and try to defend it because you somehow, for some unthinkable reason, think it’s actually fun.

Concord, Suicide Squad, Fairgame$ And ‘Vibes-Based’ Failures

Paul Tassi: "Sony recently reiterated its commitment to live service games with one big hit last year (Helldivers 2), one big cancellation (The Last of Us Factions) and one big failure (Concord). It’s no great surprise it is continuing down this road, given the way the industry is trending and the limited shelf life of its famed single player games. But it immediately made me think of a game that Sony is allegedly releasing that I have to believe is pre-destined to fail, Fairgame$."

Alos88497d ago

Fairgame$ feels like it's destined to flop out the gate- that initial trailer felt full of that same instantly-dated 'fight The Man with a ragtag team of weirdos' energy that was prevalent in Sega's Hyenas (which they wisely cancelled.) Unlike Marathon I just don't see this standing a chance.

Nacho_Z497d ago

It will definitely flop, missed the boat by a couple of years. Agreed that Marathon has a decent chance of succeeding it looks genuinely good and interesting.

It can't be sustainable having all these expensive GaaS being DOA being balanced by the odd modest success like Helldivers. The aim is to find the new Fortnite or whatever but it's highly unlikely and seems to be a massive waste of money.

Concord and the Other Biggest Flops of This Generation

Some of the biggest success stories in the history of gaming have happened during this generation of gaming. At the same time, some of the biggest flops in the history of gaming have also happened during this generation of gaming. To this end, a few games particularly stick out as, unfortunately, disastrous flops for those who made the games, sold the games, and ultimately, for many that played the games.

What a strange, short list. There have been many more games that arrived DOA, were never released, didn’t make their budget back, etc. Why cherry pick these games? Is this list based on the size of internet hate boners?

EternalTitan615d ago

These flops have a similarity that you may not be allowed to point out.

Skull and Bones gets my vote, at this point just completely remake AC Black Flag. If the Concord developers had made the game free to play, and toned down the in your face messaging via the mods and design choices, this game could have been serviceable eventually. I never understand why pandering to 5% of your audience and giving the finger to the other 95% seems like a good idea to these people. They never seem to learn. Disney has lost 1/3rd of its value and they keep doubling down on political messaging. I don’t get it.

BlackTar187614d ago

Some of these companies are paid huge amounts of money to do this stuff. They get truck loads of money to give “the message”
By blackrock and vanguards and multiple other venture capitalists even though it’s been proven over and over they fail.

I'm not interested in this game but i think it's great they added the offline mode for those who are.

darthv72713d ago

It was okay at first... once they added the performance update it was definitely better.

TwoPicklesGood714d ago

Bury this turd. It’s only good as a reminder of what devs shouldn’t do.

mkis007713d ago

I hate the concept of an announced final update.
