March 2023 is the 29th month the PlayStation 5 has been available for. In the latest month, the gap grew in favor of the PlayStation 5 when compared to the aligned launch of the Nintendo Switch by 1.18 million units.
In the last 12 months, the Switch has outsold the PS5 by 0.15 million units. The Switch is ahead of the PS5 by 0.31 million units.
The PlayStation 5 has sold 35.94 million units in 29 months, while the Nintendo Switch sold 36.25 million units. Month 29 for the PlayStation 5 is March 2023 and for the Nintendo Switch it is July 2019.

Crazy. The PS5 is costs more and not mobile handheld but close in sales to the Switch.
I know the Switch can be hooked up to the Tv but it runs worse on TV so I mainly use it as a handheld and I’d bet majority use it as a handheld too.
Anyway PS5 is doing really really well
