Tetris Effect: Connected (PSVR2) - Dark Zero

In summary, Tetris Effect: Connected is the easiest game to recommend, with just a couple of exceptions; In its purest form, it is Tetris, first and foremost, and from an aesthetic standpoint, it is a beautiful showcase of what VR games can achieve, almost perfectly now thanks to the improved performance and power of the PSVR2. But for those who have already played the previous version ad nauseum and/or don’t own a PSVR2 (much less a PS5, as the console can still be tricky to find), it may not be worth the upgrade price, even if it is relatively cheap. Those two caveats aside, this is a must-have game that will impress even the most hesitant of folks over the unique experience of VR gaming.

I have this on psvr1 before it was “connected”. Is it worth the upgrade for me? I have the original game, psvr2 and ps5.

Hard to speak on your behalf, but you've got the same as before, with multiplayer, increased resolution and the all-important haptics to consider. When you complete a level, the headset haptics are delicious! I didn't play loads on OG PSVR, but have played a lot more on PSVR2, despite my gaming time being so precious and desperately wanting to play games I've yet to even touch.

I've had GT7, kayak VR and this on rotation for a few days, but this might get bumped soon, because I know Pavlov is getting it's hooks into me!

TL:DR i think the music/rhythm games benefit greatly from PSVR2, thanks to the more comfortable visuals (if that makes sense!) and the haptics bringing the music to life. Rez and Thumper come alive too, as do Pistol Whip and Synth Riders - and I can't wait for Beat Saber.

That’s my dilemma lol. You can never go wrong with some Tetris. I already have it though. I don’t care about multiplayer but the other upgrades sound nice.

I bought village, song in the smoke, after the fall and horizon. Most of my time has been in village. I’m hyped for that switchback game though. And the walking dead game looked good too. It’s good to just play Tetris after all of that lol.

Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.

I do like the irony of the closing paragraph though, "Why VR Adventure Games are Thriving". Really buddy?

That’s because it’s his favourite VR adventure games thus far, a great game always a great game regardless of age - Half life 2/ Ocarina of time - are old but still among the greatest games of all time. The irony of it is several are from last year, depending on platform, have you even played VR?
