I hope this doesn't open the floodgate of shovelware

Neco5126363d ago

it would be a shame if it did

Hobb6363d ago

EA FOR DUMMIES? DO WE REALLY NEED THIS?

CrAppleton6363d ago

I think it's a great idea for people who aren't really into videogames. I think it would be great for my wife. But I am a little worried that it would open the door to more crap that no one really wants to play.

Tempist6363d ago

All this and more to be followed by ReDumdency for Dummies. Seriously, you need a Seduku for dummies, as if the instructions were not simple enough or the concept? Doesn't Brain Training for dummies reveal your actual intelligence level before you even start the game?

This XXXX for Dummies books have to really stop. Life is trial and error, not made with a manual.

I want Microsoft or Sony to get in on this.. With titles that real gamers would like to see. For instance.. Gears For Dummies, or WipEout HD For Dummies.. Could be great stuff

Neco5126363d ago

i guess it could, i dont know that its needed though

CrAppleton6363d ago

Anything that helps bring MORE gamers into the community is a good thing and should be thought of as "needed". IMO

bgrundman6363d ago

How about Final Fantasy for Dummies... Those games are so complex, they are almost impossible to get into if you are not familiar with the genre!

Neco5126363d ago

who would have ever thought that video games would need a how to guide. seriously now, this is almost as bad as sex for dummies

Hobb6363d ago

DUMB! EA IS JUST TRYING TO MAKE MORE MONEY

CrAppleton6363d ago

Maybe.. but they can also help people through this program. I like it.. But to each his own

bgrundman6363d ago

This is another grab for the EA money hat

JimmyJames706363d ago

It's fine as long as they don't bring it to the 360.

bgrundman6363d ago

It would be to hard to do that... the DS lends itself well to that kind of thing though

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing37d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9237d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit37d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing37d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9237d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
