I’ll buy the future version with 4K 120hz output and an oled screen. I hate lcd and 720p.

Bought it over a PS5 and I don't regret it. It's easy to access other store fronts and proton is impressive. I don't hafto pay some stupid sub to play games online, or have my games saved to cloud storage, and Epic gives out free games so who needs a sub. It basically emulates any old console, and has gens of games you can't play on current consoles. If you're thinking of moving over to PC this makes it easy. Don't want a steam deck? There are a bunch of, albeit more expensive, alternatives that run windows if you really think it'd be too much of a hassle to install windows yourself, or if oled really is that important to you.

For people that like handheld devices. I prefer gaming on a home console,the very reason I own a PS5 & an XBSX.

yall made me log in with these damn comments lol. Its entirely worth it. May it be a handheld for gaming or a cheap personal computer for specific situations. Currently letting my friend borrow it due to him going through a divorce and he can only stay in a hotel. he cant bring his pc to the hotel, and its kinda rough playing a ps5 on a 720p tv. being able to get origin, epic games, battlenet, and other clients on there is INSANE. It can take some techinical work to obtain these things, but all it takes is watching a youtube video and following step by step. Plus being able to start on your deck and then use the same save when you get on your home pc and vice versa(given the game supports cloud saves).

Going from a switch to a deck will make you understand how limited youve been this whole time. the steam deck creates a new freedom in handheld gaming. the best part is, is now games are being created with the deck in mind and the library will only grow from this point. there are games that cannot be played by a steam deck due to just being old or not optimized. Which sucks, but i can tell you that playing once you play elden ring or batman arkham city in your bed or while traveling at 60fps, you will understand that you cant get this experience anywhere and it may change your mind.

While I do wish the steamdeck was a tad smaller, it's pretty amazing for the price, and has tons of customization. Similar powered handhelds cost double the amount and constant updates keep making it even better

Yes, it's a little fiddly at times when going outside of steam OS. But it's the best purchase I've made in years.
Can only be beaten by the idea of more powah and an oled screen.
