Anyone trashing this developer for not being political can get bent. Communist struggle sessions. These “pick sides or else” folks are unbearable.

At the heart of the discussion around Mundfish though, is the matter of whether or not the studio has accepted funds from the Russian government in development of Atomic Heart. And wether or not the studio is linked to companies that have received sanctions as a result of the invasion of Ukraine.

I'm with the Russians and now pre-ordered the game. Fucking left hypocrites.

I'm not supporting russian-nazi regime, and not buying this game. There are no good russians for me anymore. They've crossed the line long ago.

I don't have a dog in this fight (because i'm from Russia), but, personally, i can't understand why everyone HAS to take a side. IMO, let's be fair, during such times (war, conflict, annex, call whatever you want) no side is willing to tell the truth, all you hear is propaganda from either side.

If a person or an entity doesn't want to pick a side - let them, it's their own choice. We're not a hive mind, you know. People can have different perspectives and opinions, no one should force/bully you into submission, into following the flock.

P. S.: I didn't want this conflict to happen (the first time i heard what's actually going on, i was thinking this is some sort of trolling), nor many russians i personally know, yet nobody have asked for our opinions, stuff just happened. But we're suffering the consequences.
Mind you, i'm not saying that whatever happens to regular folk in Ukraine is fine though - it's bad no matter what, their livelihood is at stake. But same goes for regular russians. People who think otherwise are kidding themselves. Politicians are to blame, from either side. Why is nobody forcing the peaceful negotiations? Because it's not profitable. It's like a serbian saying, quote: during a war, the politicians give out the ammunition, the rich give the food and the poor give their children. When the war is over, the politicians shake hands and get back the leftover ammunition, the rich grow more food and the poor search for the graves of their children.

People who scream for «cancel russians, they're to blame» are a part of the problems. Not only this causes more tense between the nations, but by blocking russian IPs from accessing services, whole protestware thing - it's only playing into Putins hand, they keep repeating that "west" is out to hurt you and now people are seeing this with their own eyes (can't buy game on GOG or Steam, EGS "refunds" free game from russian, can't buy a Netflix or Spotify subscription or PS+/Gamepass). If you would read about recent Russia laws, all they were doing is blocking alternative opinions and websites that expose the corruption or allow people to consolidate. And now some people are doing their job for them. But i digress, don't want to get banned or being marked as spam, sorry. Hope this will get resolved soon, for mutual benefaction.

I'm proud to not support Ukraine it's the world's most corrupt country that since 2014 and earlier had been violently discriminating against their Russian ethnic citizens. Ukraine is the ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD that renames it's streets to that of Nazi war criminals.

Not to play what-about-ism, what Russia is doing is horrific. But if you look at this from a principled state, it feels odd the hold a video game developer responsible for the actions of their government. And if you're going to do that, you should be consistent and do it for every country, not just Russia. No one has clean hands so in that case, you probably won't be playing many games anymore..

Interesting to know most westerners are blind to "politics", while we who live in countries like China take political views as our first rule. The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
