Hardware definitely isn't the problem with this game. It's a mix of Game Freak being completely inept with 3D development, and horribly strict release windows from Pokemon Company so they can push out all their other rushed crap, like movies, TCG expansions, merchandise, etc, which also all have terrible quality control issues lately. You can't reasonably compare games like Xenoblade 3 or Metroid Dread with Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, and say it's a problem with hardware that caused Pokemon's problems.
To anyone who says it runs better via emulation, of course it does lol. On a good emulator (which Switch has, because it's been hacked inside out for years now due to Tegra exploit) you can always brute force your way through optimization issues with enough power. Doesn't mean it's a hardware problem though.
Anyways, you don't normally see this kind of response from Nintendo. Hopefully after this backlash they really start to put some pressure on the other companies involved with Pokemon to have higher quality releases. Or maybe not, considering it still sold 10 million copies in three days.
