First ps now was out well before gamepass. Also Ms hs also paid to keep stuff off of ps consoles to it works both ways. Its a world thing alot of the world doesnt trust MS due to countless BS things theyve done and tried to do in the pc area. Far as exclusives sony gets all kinds of exclusives , Id guess the ones from japan and some of their type of games arent made for xbox because the install base doesnt buy their games. Even now everytime I see any artice about ms games its about a game available on gamepass not an article about a game you can buy on xbox marketplace.

Ms isnt the little guy they are making themselves out to be though and its BS they are playing victim and cherry picking.

That’s some of the dumbest crap I’ve ever read . Sony correcting its fans ? How or why would a company do that ? Why doesn’t MS correct their fans ? Please enlighten us how companies would even do this and how it would have any effect on anything ?

I agree that Microsoft should had shown commitment to their fan base over a decade ago but do it fairly not by taking 3rd party games from other consoles and buying a legacy 3rd party developer like activision and putting the games behind a subscription exclusive to their system and PC in the clear and obvious attempt to create a monopoly on the subscription services as now they can lock Sony, valve and every other competitor out of activision Bethesda and all their other games outside of contract with the “on a case by case basis”.

Please don’t even bother to equate Sony response to Microsoft predatory behavior by buying bungie and other small developers to Microsoft buying activision a 3rd party developer with a history starting on Atari and having a unequal franchise like COD that not even halo could touch on a yearly basis 🤦🏿

They have one other better route available, the one of creating their own games and IPs but even then it seems they cant no longer use that route; halo is basically dying as is GoW, theyre not even shadows of their former self; then there is that thing that everything MS touches shortly start degrading and dying; every single company they have acquired has decade, most of them ran to the ground. MS is so bad they told Valve they were going to make a MS store within Windows and remove steam (its the whole reason why Valve went out of their way and created Steam OS on Linux along with the Steam PC like consoles, this one backfired on them as steam grown up even more)
And no i am not a Sony fanboy, I play on PC and i haven't been playing on consoles for a long while actually (6 years or so), but I still follow xbox, nintendo and Sony console news

If they weren’t buying multiplat games and making good games from the studios they do have I would agree . But they have failed to make good games and failed to be good competition . Buying 3rd party games isn’t going to make them a good game maker just take games away from other platforms . They don’t want to do what Sony did and grow a culture of games and studios and work at it they want to buy what sells best on PS and call it their own and say look what we did when they did nothing to make the competition better .

buying up the market isn't competing. Cultivating internally or buying companies that haven't established themselves yet is competing.

MS is doing this because despite being worth much more than Sony, they simple aren't good enough to compete. And it's how they always operated beyond just gaming. If you can't beat them, buy them.

Sony have only been in gaming a few years more than Microsoft. They took on Nintendo and Sega in a market that belonged to two companies and they grew that market

Why are we always acting like Mivrosoft need a hand to crack the market? If you suck at something after 20 years, maybe you just suck and shouldn't do it. Buying everything and giving it away for free cos you can to disrupt what has worked for decades doesn't mean you should.
