The producer of the Prince series Ben Mattes says that his game should have been praised more for taking creative risk. Stating: "We set out to keep a few core fundamentals but to re-imagine everything else, discarding some very well entrenched ideas not only about the brand but also about videogames in general,"

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "New York Comic Con was packed this year, to say the least. From October 17-20, more than 200,000 attendees made their way through the Javits Center in midtown Manhattan to partake in the annual celebration of comics, television, cosplay, and all things pop cultural.
A few blocks away, in a quieter, calmer corner of the city, I was lucky enough to sit down with legendary developer Jordan Mechner, celebrated for his pioneering work in video game animation and cinematic storytelling. Mechner, a New York native, is most famous for creating the long-running Prince of Persia franchise, which added two new installments just this year. Outside of the world of video games, he is an accomplished graphic novel author, having worked on Templar, Monte Cristo, and Liberty. His latest graphic novel, Replay: Memoir of an Uprooted Family, is his most personal yet. It weaves together multiple timelines that cover three generational stories: that of his grandfather, who fought in World War I; that of his father, who fled Nazi persecution; and his own personal and professional journey over the last four decades."

The mind behind Prince of Persia shares his family’s life story as well as his own as a videogame developer in an emotional and very personal book.

With the release of The Lost Crown this week, let's take a look at every Prince of Persia game released since the series debuted.
Am I alone in not buying anything in the run up to Christmas. People have enough trouble getting anything for me before I start buying it all for myself.
Either way I for one will probably be playing this in the new year. Will that be a good form of recognition Mr. Mattes?
pfft... Far as I'm concerned it should of been more criticism over their choice of story structure. Worst ending ever...
Nice art direction, but little else to write home about.
thats what happens when so many games are released during the christmas period, i think many of the games would have benefited if they were released earlier or later.
This game is a rental. I'm getting more frugal with my purchases, and I don't think I'll be getting 60 bones worth out of it.
I definitely want to play it - but it doesn't seem like a "must have in my collection so I can play it again and again title."
...Maybe 18 months from now when its $12.99 used at Gamestop...
I officially presnt PoP team with a "Nice Try/It's the effort that counts" award. Just don't cry, OK?
