I disagree on fable 2. I think it's the best in the series. Peter didn't hype it up anywhere near like 1 and 3. So it was a pleasant surprise. The ending choice was botched and the controls were not great. You Tokyo drifted all over the place. But in general I think it was stronger than 1 or 3. Especially 3. Too bad you can't buy it on pc or I would be aging it still.

I agree Fable 2 was the best of the 3 . Fable as a whole is just an ok series but Fable 2 was its best entry . 3 was garbage

porkChop1337d ago

Would it still hold up? I never got around to playing it. I know it's on GP though and I have a Series X.

Loved Fable 2, I just hate that the last boss moment got taken from me. Lol, if you know, you know... Fable 3 was definitely a step down though, sadly. Got way too dumbed down on the RPG aspects.

They all seem to be old games and a lot of the problems were rushing the sequel out.

Have we learned lessons from the past?
Video games generally seem to be better (sometimes hugely) than the originals, unlike movies.

Dragon Age 2 was downright terrible by the end. Origins and Inquisition I finished at least three times and 2 I only finished once and never returned.

jznrpg1337d ago

Dragon Age 2 was so janky I stopped playing within 8-10 hours if I remember correctly . I was so disappointed that I had no hope for Inquisition. Inquisition was really good compared to DA2 but you could tell it was a failed MMO turned into a single player game. Despite that I enjoyed it and it’s a good game . DA1 is still the best !

I would argue that metal gear Solid 2 was not as good as MGS 1.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing17d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9217d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit17d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing17d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9217d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse

To be fair, there are also human made games that release and lack any fun at all either.

jznrpg20d ago

But all of the great games have been made by humans

jwillj2k420d ago

One is by choice, the other is a feature.

Guild Wars 2 been playing for 14yrs, 1st beta. This is just one company I support, Arenanet and NCSoft, even though I torrent, there are a few PC companies I will buy from. "PlayStation’s Horizon MMO spin-off, Horizon Steel Frontiers." I feel this will be good, NCSoft is a good developer/publisher.

It’s a tool. Use it elevate things and get it done faster. I’m sorry but not every game made by humans is good. If this can help things, then I fully embrace it.
