The German developers are responsible for some of the best 3D programming on those two portable platforms. From the GBA launch title Iridion, to the wonderful Nanostray titles, Shin'en has created a handful of titles that serve as exemplars of the graphical and sonic capabilities of Nintendo's handheld systems.
With the release of the eccentrically named Fun! Fun! Minigolf for Nintendo's WiiWare store, the developers have made the leap to home consoles. As expected, the title is a graphical powerhouse and indistinguishable from full-priced, disk-based software. Beauty comes at a cost however, as this title won't keep Wii owners busy for more than a few hours. We spent nearly as long clearing the required 308 blocks from our Wii's memory storage, as we did playing through all the courses."

GR: "Don't let those rampant exclamation marks fool you – this minigolf game isn't that exciting. Maybe one mark, at a push, but two? That's! Insane! This is golf of the uncraziest variety. Its three vanilla courses look pretty enough, but there are no clever Mouse Trap-style contraptions, no wacky pirate ships or fire-breathing golf dragons hidden in any of them. Why would anyone want to play boring, normal minigolf on their Wii?"

Vandal Onlien writes: "The game of golf on Wii have a lot to say, from the original Wii Sports, through the evolution that has been experiencing the Tiger Woods saga of Nintendo in the console, through many different bets well as We Love Golf. Now, thanks to digital distribution service, WiiWare, comes a new challenge revolves around the mini, this variant much more affordable fair, fast and less-technical course, that golf really."

The only drawback to the game is that there is absolutely nothing for solo games, not even league tables for the individual tracks are available. Therefore the motivation for single player no longer really exists. But as far as the multiplayer rounds are concerned it is well worth the 900 Wii Points and is a lot of fun!
