Was really hoping for a showcase rather than a state of play considering the showcase was this time last year as well but ill take what we can get.

Whats Naughty dog doing, havent heard any news around them showing off anything soon?

Nice surprise but everyone was anticipating the full fat PS showcase.
Looks like this is PS' tribute to TGS.
Tom Henderson already stated PS showcase may still happen at a later date.

Sony State of plays has been disappointing. They haven't had a showcase in 2 years. I don't even think Sony will have a showcase this year unfortunately.

They had a showcase last year. Spider man2 and wolverine.

And there are dope state of plays. Resident evil 3, RE4 and FF7R Intergrade were announced on State of plays.

Probably not. The store says 10 games in 20 minutes and GOW will get a 20 minutes show all on its own. Looking at past focused State of Plays they are about a month out from release. Mid October for this one.

Their state of play won't even be better than Nintendo Direct. Lower your expectations. Sony has nothing to show. They haven't had a press conference in 2 years

Nice sounds like we're getting updates from Japanese partners so Square Enix, Capcom, maybe Konami? We'll see.

Square Enix has so much in their lineup: The DioField Chronicle, Valkyrie Elysium, Star Ocean: The Divine Force, and Tactics Ogre: Reborn, just in the next couple months. That's not even counting Forspoken, Final Fantasy 16, and whatever else they have next year.

I expect they'll start ramping up the PSVR2 info at some point soon, but I have a feeling this might be too soon.

Either way, I'll be watching. Any new info on upcoming games is welcome. Some Silent Hill details would be nice!

Awesome! Seems odd for them to have dropped the announcement for Firewall 2 last week rather than waiting, but there's no second guessing Sony these days.

So excited for that game, as it seems to have been built from the ground up to showcase PSVR2's new features.

Since it's kinda Japanese focused and has PS VR 2, can I get an Ape Escape VR, Astrobot 2 VR, Dark Cloud 3 VR or any good RPG in VR. RPGs are great in VR.

Just bring on some VR news. We've been patiently waiting.

I mean, maybe Spider-Man 2 gameplay? That’s scheduled for 2023, so now could be a good time for a sizzle reel.

Wolverine news is unlikely before Spider-Man, since it’s from Insomniac as well.

We could get some news on Sucker Punch’s next game. We haven’t seen anything from them since GoT expansion.

Factions is on blackout until 2023, so no ND.

Bungie is still pushing D2, so it ain’t D3 or whatever.

Housemarque and Bluepoint both made launch titles, so they MIGHT be ready for a small reveal.

I’m not getting my hopes up for Kojima….

….but I will cross my fingers for a MGS1-4 remake.

Twisted Metal is probably still heavily under development since they switched devs within the past year.

I’m betting Bend is also not ready for a reveal given their recent changes in leadership.

That’s all of the big studios off the top of my head. I think anything else that could be shown would just be unexpected indie titles, similar to Xbox’s GP pipeline.

Or, Sony senses that Xbox doesn’t have anything but High on Life to show off until e3, and they are dumping their war chest to overshadow short term AA Game Pass promises with long term AAA pipeline teasers.

Maybe it’s a Beyond Good and Evil 2 update…!

Who knows.

I really hope they ditch Dreams and move on.

As cool as it is, I really don't have any motivation to play it, and hardly anyone on my friends list touched it either.

Little Big Planet had charm, but Dreams just seemed off. It's hard to market a set of dev tools on the hope that people do something with those tools.

Whatever, I'd just rather they spend their time on something new. I mean, what exactly are they doing with their time at the moment if not working on a new project? Dreams came out years ago.

word on the street is to expect a showing of several "minor" games. hopefully something cool and unannounced.

Solid show, the two new games from Sony Studios and Koie (sp) they showed off were really good. I love over the top action, so that really appealed to me.
