I'm hoping that I can use the playstation dualsense edge controller will be compatible with the PC and that I can use it wireless

EvertonFC1347d ago

The edge controller has been confirmed to be PC compatible fella

RickRoland1347d ago

We are still another console generation from ray tracing being worthwhile in my opinion. It’s a diminishing return feature that just wallops game performance for the current boxes.

CaptainHenry9161347d ago (Edited 1347d ago )

Unless they make a PS5 Pro and Series X Elite. I'll be getting it on PC just for the Raytracing features.

Metro exodus looks fantastic with RT

RaidenBlack1347d ago (Edited 1347d ago )

PC will obviously dominate RT. Proper RT reflection & RTGI in large open world and full path tracing in linear game world will slowly become the norm in near future after RTX 40-series & RX 7000 drops.
...
(a brief noob take but still: ) the development pipeline are in process of changing right now (sweet spot is an effective hybrid rendering pipeline which many devs are already aiming for/implementing).
The devs are still venturing efficient ways to bring down the computation time for all RT (basically should be well below one ms per frame {0.3 or lower} ). Better way they can manage the RT computation time going forward, better they can implement RT in a game, even on a weak RT hardware console.
For open world env. with RT targetting consoles, there has to combination of dynamic res scaling/upscaling & selective rendering of the world/PoV area (something like SFS) implemented for steady enjoyable frames.

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

Scissorman25d ago

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.

Yeah this isn't true, game was garbage no way it sold that much. Seen a lot of posts saying he was confusing it with player numbers, not sold copies. It went on discount really fast and was also on Plus and GP.

It wasn’t a classic or anything but still a good game. I enjoyed it personally.

These days it feels like if a game isnt brilliant it must therefore be terrible and everyone hates on it.

bsingle40264d ago

I hear ya, what's wrong with a decent game?

CrashMania264d ago

Maybe I was a bit harsh there, it's decent now, but didn't gel too well with me, I played it pre-release so it didn't help. I should have just stuck to pointing out the possible inconsistency lol.

Cacabunga264d ago

Too much for a terrible game blablabla.. thanks to all the fans who still believe and support SP games. The game isn’t perfect but waaaaay beyond average!!!

The_Hooligan264d ago (Edited 264d ago )

I agree. Back in the day, I played so many 7 and 8 rated games that were amazing. Hell, even some of the 6 rated games I played were good too. People forget that when someone reviews it, it is an opinion of that one person. Always trust your own instinct and give it a try. Now a days you can see videos, walkthroughs or someone live streaming the game to see for yourself if the gameplay is to your liking or not.

neutralgamer1992264d ago

Exactly if it's not 9/10 it's garbage. Back dying PS1, 2 and even 3 days there were some very good games which got 7/10. None of these games below got anywhere near 9/10

Singularity
Enslaved
Def jam
God hand
Dynasty warriors
Psi Ops
Freedom fighters
The punisher
Marvel ultimate alliance series
Red faction
Dark watch
Saints row
Binary domain
Spec Ops the line
Earlier yakuza games
Fracture
Time shift
Wet
Etc,,,,

Really? I didn't buy it but I got it for free from Humble Bundle and man, it really wasn't that bad at all. I was expecting premium garbage from the way people spoke about it. Sure the combat isn't Deadspace level but it was sure satisfying melee-ing them to death. I think they just tried to be Deadspace without being Deadspace but they really wanted to be Deadspace. Overall though the game wasn't nearly as terrible as people make it out to be.

darthv72264d ago

For a while, the game was deeply discounted at retail. So it's not out of the realm of possibility that it sold more when it was under $20. I found my copy for $10 at Best Buy.

DivineHand125264d ago

I actually played this game when it was added to ps plus. It was a 7/10 experience. If I played it at launch when it was 30 fps i would give it a 6/10.

True horror video game fans would probably give it an extra point.

BlackCountryBob264d ago

Makes me think a bit of Days Gone that it overall had good sales, but was steeply discounted very quickly and the majority of sales would have been for a much lower price so much less profitable than it would have been (assuming this doesn’t include me as a sale when I got it on PS+ but haven’t downloaded it, just added to library). I was still seeing Day One versions for sale new in the wrapper until this time last year.

And this number is considered a failure!?
