From IGN: "Immortality is a thoroughly mesmerizing mystery and one of the most surprising video game stories I’ve played through this year. Its image-based search tool might make its actual investigating feel noticeably dumbed down compared to that of Her Story and Telling Lies, but the credibility of its faked film productions, the powerful performances of its cast, and its regularly confronting, David Lynchian discoveries kept me captivated for its nine-hour duration. Immortality might not live forever in my mind, but it's likely to linger there for quite a while yet."

VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "While Half Mermaid's avant-garde FMV game isn't immortalized in my list of art games, it still earns great respect. The vigilant dedication to its hidden-object/editing shtick along with an intricate narrative makes for a unique fusion on the art of filmmaking that could only be told in game form. Granted, betting all the chips leads to a suspicious amount of tedium once you're intentionally scouring for new footage; that said, it's impossible to overstate how enticing everything initially feels when breezing from scene to scene with total disregard. Similarly, peeling back the layers of this onion deserves more praise than the narrative proper, but the thematic ambitions and avenues it's willing to explore capture something truly special."

Half Mermaid Productions’ hit investigation game Immortality is now out on PS5 and playing as an armchair video sleuth is certainly an engrossing affair.

WTMG's Heidi Hawes: "Even though I wasn’t blown away by Her Story or Telling Lies, Immortality has proven itself to be Sam Barlow’s best work to date, by a landslide. On paper, this game might sound pretentious, but it is truly a piece of art. Immortality has captivated me in a way that few games in recent memory have. Even though I unlocked the “True Ending”, I still keep finding myself going back for more, and with each revisit, I do indeed find more secrets. Immortality won’t be to everyone’s liking, but for those of us who love a good mystery and narrative adventure, this game will get under your skin and have you thinking about it for a long time."

Her Story was a lot of fun. I hadn’t heard of this game.
I really enjoyed Her Story it reminded me of a combination of an old FMV Sega CD game and a Fighting Fantasy series adventure gamebook.
So ill give this one a try and hope to be surprised.
and its available on gamepass right now.
