We are getting Horizon2 , GT7 and GOW2 this year. Plus a bunch of 3rd party exclusives. Just because this author doesn't like the games doesn't mean games aren't releasing.

Also this cross plat games doesn't count nonsense...horizon2 and gow2 will be the best looking games of the year. And they will play the best on PS5. Once other companies start releasing games that look better you can complain.

Bruh, the ps3 and ps4 took a long time to start getting consistent exclusives. I guess people forget. Ps5 launch is the best since ps2 and we're in a pandemic. People are way too spoiled now a days.

We believe in generations, let's give them something they can only enjoy on their Ps5.... yet releasing only one 1st party ps5 exclusive in 2022 is a big problem.

Could say the same for Microsoft and Nintendo. The big three are struggling but the whole F@@king world is. Its called having patience. And to honest i will be worrying about my fuel bills incoming to worry about the games exclusives.

Even with the effects of Covid this gen, Sony has more than delivered since launch. This year alone they put out Horizon, GT7 and soon GOW. Last year was solid as well. MS on the other hand continues to delay games and not show anything new with all the studios they acquired. Sony is doing what Sony does every gen……put out great AAA Exclusives. Business as usual.

They really aren't. Too many games that should have been exclusive have launched on PS4 too.

Verses the competition, I think they're doing quite well. I suppose Nintendo has Splatoon 3 coming, but other than that I've been a bit let down by them lately. It's as if most of their good exclusives came out near the start of the Switch's lifespan, and things have slowed down since. I mean, I personally find Strikers to be especially disappointing. Adding Daisy was a great move, but drip-feeding content that should have been included in the game on Day 1 doesn't actually change my mind about the game, especially since it's still lacking in modes. As for MS...can someone remind me what they've released this year?

Verses the PS3/4? I recall they both took time to amass their libraries of exclusives, but once they did the momentum kept going. I think the PS5 is doing ok in that regard, and 2023 and beyond is looking promising. But yeah, why does Sony seem to be held to be held to a higher standard than the other companies?

….seems like a solid 2 years to me especially given COVID delays. A very varied library of quality titles. Sony still has their showcase coming up to reveal new unannounced bangers. They are doing just fine. I may need to go back and look but I’m not sure the first two years of PS4 is better than this list…

In November PS5 will be two years old. The AAA games I remember from PS4's first two years are Killzone, the Order, Bloodborne and Infamous. This is just from the top of my head. Now we have Ratchet and Clank, Demon Souls, Horizon Forbidden West, GT7 and soon to be released GoW. The games just speak for themselves.

I don't think both (PS/Xbox) are doing enough, tbh. But COVID definitely factors into it. I'm still waiting for a true next-gen game. To be fair both companies did say it would be a few years of fostering last-gen hardware.

I think cross-gen games are a factor here as well. Let’s say Spider-man, Horizon Forbidden West, GT7 didn’t have a last gen release, the “exclusive appeal” for PS5 would be much bigger imo.

Why is it that people have ignored the lack of exclusive titles on the Xbox for like the past ten years? It is like most are just stuck in denial. If its a console you like and have grown attached to so you buy it no matter what then that's fine. It's why I always purchase the newer Nintendo product as a side console knowing it won't be as powerful as the others, you like what you like and that's that.
But stop pretending like Microsoft has released a wide array of exclusive titles in the past years comparable to Sony.
Use this example for a little context, when PS5 and Series X released and had their showcase of what games to expect, the majority of the games Sony promised have come out already with the exception of God of War Ragnarok now in 2023 the focus has shifted on the next wave of exclusives, such as Final Fantasy R-2, Final Fantasy 16, Spider-man 2 the Wolverine game etc.

How many titles has Microsoft studios produced that where showcased at their gameshow as reasons to own the system? They won't talk about Gears, Perfect Dark is probably going to be this generations Crackdown 3 in terms of the development cycle (which upsets me because I want that franchise to make a comeback) the new Fabel? nope, radio silence, Halo? It was alright, Forza is great, how about you mention Killer instinct 2? It's like the idea of the Game Pass blinds people to putting pressure on Microsoft to actually deliver something the console brand is known for, I really think it's going to be like this for them up until 2024 and people will be ok with that.

It's got nothing to do with what piece of hardware you prefer to play on, but they've been milking this "Well something is coming" thing since the last couple of years that Xbox One was the primary console and seems like they kept that same mindset when stepping into the current console generation too.

It is only year 2 and they are doing better than Nintendo their first 2 years of Switch and Xbox , well what have they done for the last couple gens and the beginning of this gen? This is a unique generation with supply shortages but usually year 3 Sony really hits their stride but we got Forbidden West Returnal GT7 Miles Morales and GoW is coming all within 2 years that’s pretty damn good imo considering all things .

People complain too much instead of just playing games, there are plenty available no matter what platform you prefer whether 1st or 3rd party. Of the 3 major platforms Sony has produced the most 1st party content, that has to count for something. I think alot of these articles are written to justify the writers employment.

The best always comes later. Why spend multi millions on making an exclusive when there's only 10-15m consoles in people's homes.

Wuchang is great. Nine Sols didn’t have a physical copy so I never played it but I’ve heard good things so I will check it out. I stopped playing sports games many years ago when before the card dlc’s or whatever they’re called.
