As part of Steam's weekly sales offers, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is 75% off. If you never got around to playing STALKER you can pick it up for $4.99 this weekend only.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is about to launch and we've noticed player counts for the original trilogy spiking in anticipation.

"For a game that came out on PC almost two decades ago, it looks great on Nintendo's console. Resolution is stable when docked and handheld, with motion smoothing that makes rapid camera movement fluid. Options are plentiful, with copious sliders for controller sensitivity. There’s only a gamma slider for visuals, though, and it would have been helpful to enlarge the tiny text, a strain to read on a large screen." - Ken Talbot | NintendoLife

GF365: "If you’re a reader, this list of great games for avid readers is for you. Games are a form of art, and some have written literature in them."
That's pretty much a steal. Seriously, a great game like STALKER for 5 bucks!?
I took advantage of this deal, but the problem is the game will not display on my monitor.
As soon as it boots, my monitor goes black, save for the "mode not supported" message.
My graphics card is an 8800GT, & my monitor supports up to 1680x1050.
Never had this issue with any game.
Even went into the apps text file & changed the video resolution to 1680x1050.
Anyone have any ideas?
Hoepfully alot of people pick this game up for that price, the game is hard but its bloody good.
dude wtf, should I buy this? $5 is like chump change.
Its a steal, and I am an impulse buyer :P lol.
