Rollback was expected ofc but crossplay is a huge plus. Hopefully, Tekken 8 and other fighting games will start implementing that too

Majin-vegeta1442d ago

I mean SF V already has crossplay with PC.Not having it in SF 6 would only be going backwards

liquidcream1442d ago

wow didn't know that. I only wasted my time on tekken tbh

PapaBop1442d ago

Rollback is welcome news, SFV's netcode is so bad, every fighting game should have rollback as standard.

Yung-T1442d ago

SFV already has rollback, it completely depends on the implementation and doesn't mean it's automatically good online.

So unless they don't use their old form of in-house rollback, nothing has changed.

Great news. Now, they need to make a filter that avoids anyone using WiFi.

MVCI had the smoothest online I've ever experienced, so this is great news. Gearing up to be the best Street Fighter game ever made.

Capcom doesn’t want the Street Fighter 6 esports scene to grow as it implements PPV tournaments

On September 28th, Capcom announced on X that it would implement a pay-per-view stream for the Capcom Cup 12 Finals (March 14th, 2026) and the SFL: World Championship (March 15th, 2026). Watching these tournament finals live would cost about $40 to $60. While there will also be a free stream to watch a week later, the idea of blocking matches behind a paywall has not sit well with the esports community.

Geezus, the industry greed ruins this hobby. You have something fun that supports your product and brings a community together, but instead of backing it and standing beside your fans in the fun, you choose to monetize it by locking matches behind a paywall?

Greedy f*cking pigs.

SFL Japan already did PPV finals and it must have been a success. The average SF fan probably doesn't realise just how big the franchise is in Japan, it's a horrible decision but sadly it's going to sell in Japan. If they wanted to make money from it, they should have done like they did with SF5 and do Capcom Cup dlc packs which include a few costumes and a special tournament stage instead of resorting to PPV but I guess that's just too much work for them. Hopefully it blows up in their face, absolutely shocking decision making.
