To you folks worried about "Nintendo taking this down", Nintendo had the authority to take down screenshots of their copyrighted material involved with the strategy guide. It was their copyrighted material.
Worst they could do to this guy, is go after him for showing video clips of their games being played, and that would be futile at best.
His plugin is perfectly legal, fine, and safe, unless for some reason he used copyrighted code from Nintendo for some odd reason.
These companies don't magically own any code you write, just because it interfaces with something they are or were involved with.

That's a bit of a glass 1/2 full statement. Many people play old Nintendo games, I would say more than any other game company. Nintendo games are so well made when released they always seem playable ad fun.
