No offense to hardcore Sonic fans, but this looks awful.

Can we just get remasters of Sonic Adventure 1+2?

I really like that music.

The problem I see with this game. Sonic seems kind of slow compared to past games. I don’t think sonic is the type of game that needs open world. It looks like it needs some more work.

I don't understand how time and time again Sonic gets disappointing and over ambitious games like this is shaping up to be. This is looking just as much of a chore to get through as Sonic 06 was.

hmmm... not the best first impression. graphics look old. framerate looks too slow for what a Sonic game should be with this generation and the world feels empty.

Their really shooting themselves in the foot with all this footage. It's not ready yet, they should delay it and get it right to polish it up. I'm excited for this new sonic but not if the final product is going to be like these last couple of videos.

sure we havent seen all of it yet, but i think they should have shown off areas that are more lively lol maybe it needs more time.

Reminds me of Nier . Definitely different than any Sonic game I’ve seen , not necessarily a bad thing only time will tell.

Guys, I don’t know what wild hare you have up your a** making Sonic 3D or Open-World, but you need to pluck it out right now. Sonic works best in 2D and Mania should’ve reinforced that with y’all!

Look like ass

Not sure if the Sonic team knows what makes a great Sonic game as it is either a hit or miss. The last amazing Sonic game in my opinion was Sonic generations. Team Sonic racing had a good foundation but not ambitious enough to make it amazing.
What Sonic should be doing now is something similar to level in the new Ratchet and clank where Rivet was trying to get to the fixer and you had to react quickly to get around obstacles or die. That level was fun and it gave some level of challenge. I want Sonic games to build from that design.

Surprise Surprise open world, even Sonic has to go this way!!

Even as a Sonic fan that has played all the 3D games in the past, this does look boring to me. The moves have no impact, the enemies barely do anything. If you're going to put combat in a video game, it has to be exciting, stylish, engaging. This feels, sleepy, shallow, and dull.

I've never described a Sonic game ever as "dull", but this truly does look it. And the game is almost complete, going to ship in under half a year. If it comes out looking and playing like this, its going to be a hard flop, and I don't want that to be the case.

Here's the thing a lot of people don't understand, all the talent from Sonic Team is gone. The team has seen massive changes over the years, from the Dreamcast / GameCube era of games, that lead up to Sonic 2006, where nearly the entire time was sacked (they were actually talented, but they never had enough time to finish the game, so it ended up as a disaster).

Then they started with a new dev team with Unleashed, and after that sacked the team after Generations, all the while lied with the marketing that Sonic Forces was being developed by the Generations team. Instead it was a fresh, and inexperienced team that worked on Forces, and now its clear an inexperienced team is working on Frontiers. What a shame this is turning out to be.

Looks like it could be good. Needs more work, the world doesn't look very alive...sort that out.

Also the music is absolutely ridiculous for a sonic game. Like the soundtrack from a hidden object adventure.

Yeah.... Like some of it is nice and looks fun and then other parts look rough and hard to... Like understand why it is that way lol.

It looks like they just slapped sonic into someone's unfinished tech demo. May as well just have inserted it into the Ocarina of Time remake imo.

This game should be next-gen only....we can see and feel all the hold back from last gen...empty area,so so textures and conventional animation.I do love that they try at least.I have so much nice souvenir form sonic on dreamcast....

Friendly reminder that Sega is targeting high review scores with this game. I don't see that happening. Sega had how many years to work on this title. We're talking BOTW2 amounts of time and this is what they produced in 5 years. lol The funny thing is people are acting like this can all be fixed in the next few months ahead of release. You'd have to be living in a Balan Wonderworld to believe that. lmao Think about how mediocre this game looks and remember this is what Sega decided to show us to market the game.

Lol this game looks awful. I truly feel badly for the sonic fans who keep waiting and waiting for a decent game.

I kinda dig what they're going for here. I really can't hate on this title yet. It's got a bit of a "Haven" vibe to it and that was a dees game.
