It's time Ubisoft develop The Division 3

After reading about season nine for The Division 2, I felt nostalgic. The Division 2 isn’t a looter shooter I play often, but when I do I devote an unhealthy number of hours in a short time. I thought about playing again – even starting a third character – but I remembered most of the tiny number of players remaining were completing endgame activities in New York or Washington D.C., on the two highest difficulties.

You're kidding right? Dood the whole point of the original was to make a game which was going to get a constant stream of content to keep you playing. They failed, and moved onto the sequel. This trend of developing a barebone GaAS, and then moving onto the sequel when it flops to fool people into shelling out another 60 bucks needs to end. Y'all need to quit buying these games.

neutralgamer19921349d ago

Exactly. Games like these don't need sequels, they need expansions and improvements overtime

If no man sky can do it than these huge publishers have no excuses

Dirtnapstor1349d ago

Shelling out another $60 for a new story/location, or $40 for an expansion of the same area... Dude, what are you talking about?
Why do you and the likes of you expect everything for free, or of minimal costs? The Division has hardly been "barebones". I've never understood why people think D & D2 was a flop.

Inverno1349d ago

Because they were a flop, they failed in what they set out to do which is keep the player base engaged for years with constant content. These games hardly ever get talked about. Also where did I say I expect things for free? The point of GaAS is that there would be both free and paid content to keep the game going for years. That was always the idea behind expansions, which is why MMOs live for as long as they do and have a player base that doesn't shrink to the point where they hafto move on to a sequel.

@Inverno
I follow what you are saying. And, yes the seasons do have that repetitive feel. I never played all of them because of that. That could have been easily remedied. But still, I thought there was/is plenty to do within this world. Maybe it's because I cannot game 24/7?

ChubbyBlade1349d ago

They expect it because the company making them says it.

MadLad1349d ago

Division is the best IP Ubisoft has under their belt at the moment, as far as I'm concerned.

Aarontk1349d ago

Agree. I’d be ecstatic for an official third, extremely less so about whatever the hell Heartlands is.

Aloymetal1349d ago

Gotta say it, I agree a 120%. I'm almost at shd level 3k in D2 and I love this game. With the new season 9 and all its goodies is even better. I play this game every day!

ChubbyBlade1349d ago

I’d rather have a real R6 game instead of overwatch tactics.

John_McClane1349d ago

Exactly, I enjoy playing it, not sure what all the hate is about.

CantThinkOfAUsername1349d ago

If only they had given us the first game as it was shown... It would have been better.
