I so hope there becomes and ISO loader for the Ps3 i will NOT buy any developers game who keeps saying stuff like this... Developers better hope one doesnt come out because I have no problem stealing from these people...

Regardless of who is saying this; what can't be dismissed as easily is the fact that ever since I can remember the Sony PS3 has been getting negative press and from what I see, the majority of that is deserved.

Or is all of this just a major PR stunt by Microsoft? I doubt it.

I have a 360, but if something special happens with the PS3 - I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one myself on top of my 360 but right now, I just don't see anything worthwhile to invest such a large sum of money.

I'd sincerely rather see all three platforms do exceptionally well and compete viciously for our cash; that would put smiles on ALL our faces. Can I get a hell yea? But all that's happening now is people buying into "potential" or "promises" by Sony - pardon me for being so brutal, but not many people can spend around $600 based on a hunch or a risk. But I want to see some changes because the 360 dominating the market won't be exciting.

Wait until 2008 when Sony has a price drop for the PS3, thats what i'm doing. When i do get my PS3 i will get MGS4, Killzone 2 and motorstorm. My Xbox 360 is doing me fine and hopefully i will get a Nintendo Wii by summer time.

As for EA, they are one of the worst companies in the business. Anyone saying otherwise doesn't play many of there games. There sports franchises have been on the decline for years. The problem is they have the market dominated and bought out licenses to discourage other developers from making games. Since then they have become lax and overconfident and there products continue to slip. They do absolutely no beta testing of there products. Or, if they do, they just don't care to fix the problems because the bugs and glitches get carried over from year to year. Not to mention the dumbest and least helpful customer support I've ever seen. I buy alot of there games nonetheless, I'm a huge sports fan, and there's little other choice out there. But, they are far from impressive by any stretch.

Be fair. It's not only him saying this. One of the greatest people in games of all times is John Carmack who also is saying the 360 is the best gaming experience in graphics and overall. That guy invented 3D shooting in Doom.

I like my 360 so the PS3 must suck right? THis guy has his own thoughts on the console. In some points he is right and in others he is wrong. The 360 is the now, but the PS3 could be the future. I game in the now not the future. So when the PS3 catches my eye I will get one. BUT NOW I GAME ON THE 360 the now.

The 360 is clearly the better next gen video game console. And the 8 million consoles sold lead will continue as word of mouth continues to hurt the ps3 and boost the xbox 360's sales. Now that both consoles are out...people can look at the games for both consoles...play if over a friends house, Best Buy, Walmart, Eb games...then make a decision on what they want. Do you want a video game console for the best next gen games? Well the choice is clear. If you want a video game console for HD Movies? Well once again the choice is simple. If you want a video game console to play blu ray discs? Well then get the ps3. The war has been over. All the head to head comparissons favor the 360 and HD dvd. Video game consoles are about exactly that. Video games. There is a reason why most 3rd party developers are in unison with favoring the 360 over the ps3. Its really just common sense. If you are a Sony fan....continue to support your company. Just understand that you will miss out on a whole generation of unbelievable next gen content if you limit yourself to the ps3 only. And it also means you have forgotten what its all suppose to be about. "Games". You can convince yourself all you want that the 360 has no games that interest you. Thats just your fanboyism blocking your common sense. And in that case only "YOU" loose. I have both the 360 and the ps3. I have every game for both systems. Right now its not even close in regards to which system has the best games and performs better in regards to games & graphics. It is what it is. Like it or not. Sony did a good job convincing many stores like walmart or best buy that you could only get a 1080p signal via hdmi. That is a 100% lie. And many of you and store reps believe it. I have tested that theory out and found that componant can carry the 1080p signal and looks fantastic to boot. I have my 360 hooked to my 1080p tv and I switch the dashbord to 1080i on my console. Low and behold when I played games and movies...I clicked the display button on my TV remote and it said my TV Was recieving a 1080i signal. I then switch the dashboard to 1080p....Both games and movies displayed that my TV was getting a True 1080p signal. All via componant cable. Now my cable and my ps3 is hooked up via HDMI. When I click display when I'm watching Comcast HD...my tv says 1080i signal...and on my Ps3 it depends on the game. When I'm watching blu ray movies my tv says 1080p but on many of the games it says 720p. I should make a you tube video when I have time showing all of what I just said. I speak the 100% truth and we all know the truth is hard to swallow when it proves the console you won't buy is outperforming the console you want that just so happens to cost much more as well. WOW

Unlike the fanboys on this site I look at the facts.

The PS2 was a disaster when it launched with very few good games...that all changed soon and it went to become the #1 most popular console of its time.

Same thing is happening with the PS3 right now, anyone who predicts the PS3 will fail after being just 3 months in the market is an idiot.

Also the Xbox 360 has lost HALF its market share in less then 3 months, so lets just wait and see what happens this year...you might be surprised.

The video game market is constantly changing, and no one stays at the top forever. You are making the same mistale some analysts are making, predicting future success on past performance. It's a whole new battle each generation, and this time the 360 might be the victor.

@Blu print. I can tell by your comments you have not really played the Wii. If you have spent time with it, you would realize the beauty of the sstem. It is a fun alternative to hardcore gaming, and compliments the 360 nicely. After playing a serious game like GOW or LP, it is relaxing to fire up Wario or Wii sports and have some fun. And like a typical Sony fanboy, you are believing the Sony promises. Most of the games you have mentioned haven't even released a single screenshot. You are buying into the hype based on past success. It is not every day that a sequal meets or exceeds the standards set by the previous installment. Look at Madden, Turok, Mortal Kombat, Sonic, Mario,... the list goes on. So when you say "The reason the 360 doesn't interest me is because, to me, it doesn't have games to match these" what are you comparing them to...SONY PROMISES!

There are developers backing both sides. The ones that interest me are the ones developing for both platforms, like EA, ID, Valve, and they back 360. The only ones saying PS3 is better are working on second-party games, which means it is in their best business interest to say PS3 is better at the time.

Where is DJ on this one? if you do show up DJ, you have never answered my question about GPUs. When exactly and who at ATI stated the RSX was more powerful? You throw this clain around a lot, but never provide a source. Everyone else in the industry claims the 360 has the superior GPU, so why would ATI, who designed this, claim otherwise? Source please.

What a guy at EA says matters not, i personally hate sony, i had a ps1 and 2 but when xbox came out WOW i shifted, then i got a 360 on release, theres no right or wrong console 2 buy.

I personal won't buy a wii. I like 360 and ps3. I do have a son in the oven. Yes I will be a father in June. Take a wild guess what company my son will get to know? If you think sony or microsoft your dead wrong. Its gonna be Nintendo only! No bloody games into he is 13. I probably will drop a few thousand in Nintendo's deep pockets before then. I have owned every major console for the last 20+ yrs and I can honestly say that NO ONE can tell YOU which console is better.

I don't know how much gaming you have done in the past but here's the only thing you need to ask yourself; "What type of games do I enjoy the most?" -Now this is where it gets tricky, because no matter what the answer is all 3 consoles have a little something for everybody, but when it comes to exclusives it really comes down to personal taste.....I think with Nintendo, its an EASY distinction between their exclusives and the ones offered by M$ and Sony.

Now a PS3 fanboy would say 360 only has shooters...blah, blah -but the truth is that 360 offers a wide variety of games, but it just happens that Xbox & now 360 have offered some amazing shooters -thus the label. I think its safe to say that the 360 does offer the "better" western style exclusive's no matter what genre they are.

Now a 360 fanboy would say all the PS3 is good for this gen is playing BD movies, the games look better on the 360, and the only good one is MGS4 unless you like FF 37...blah, blah. -but the truth is that the PS3 overall has a even more diverse game line-up than the 360, I think alot of this can be attributed to the Japanese dev support that makes more classic Japanese style RPG's and some "quirky"/different Japanese type games....of course they will have great western style stuff too but I think JRPG's/Japanese games is the PS3's strong suit.

OK, I didn't cover the Wii much because honestly if graphics don't matter at all -you either like the Wii games or you don't....but as far as the other two are concerned the hardware won't make a huge difference in games, Best case scenario: Get all 3; if you can't then question remains: "What kind of games do YOU like the MOST?"

Now on topic, I also think that EA dev's need to "step up" their own games, but I think this guy made some reasonable observations....in the end its just his opinion....so take it with a grain of salt.

There certainly has to be a hardware design flaw with the PS3. I say it's blu-ray, the PS3 was designed around selling blu-ray, not videogames.

ill get a ps3 the end of this year - right now the ps3 hasn,t got what i want, it as got about 2 or 3 games that i would play but not enough for me to purshase a ps3.
