Team Ninja collaborates with Square-Enix in a unique, interesting but technically flawed release. Oliver Mackenzie tests the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and ALL last-gen consoles... and it's not a pretty sight.

Well, for me this is great, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has been in my cart then not purchased more than a dozen times.
I liked the demo and have always wanted to play it, now I will.
And Mega Man Collection is always a win for me, both 1 and 2, pretty good plus MM 11 too.
Classics are more previously available stuff, that's always slightly dissapointing. The road to Parasite Eve 2 and Shadow Tower is long. But good lineup regardless, I want to try salt and sacrifice.

As Final Fantasy includes more real-time combat and action, the release of Stranger of Paradise makes FF's evolution to Soulslike seem more likely.
I seriously doubt it. FF is way too mainstream, and SQ wants as many people playing it. It'll maybe borrow some aspects as Souls has had a lot of influence on many games but never go all out.
I don't care about graphics too much, but to have graphics like this and still struggle to hit the 60fps target is disappointing. Seems like it should be able to hit 60fps on PS4 let alone PS5 and Series X.
I got a 3070 and it runs horribly even at 720p. Terrible pc optimizations as usual from square and very dated ps3 visuals. Sad since koei did a good job with the nioh ports and the visuals werent bad for those games.
Refunded and will just get it dirt cheap.
I passed on this game, maybe I'll give it a try later. But maybe not, it looks kinda pointless and the worst thing is all that class switching on the fly. Which ironically is one of the things they boast about most.
I’ve been having a blast playing the game as it is a very fun game. Aesthetically it seemed like they really shortcut a lot to get it out. It’s unfortunate though as I don’t see this as a game that would get a part 2. The dlc will add content but it won’t be like the type of upgrade ni-oh to ni-oh 2was.
But if they make a final fantasy 2 stranger of paradise I wouldn’t mind they improve the graphics and performance at all.
Pure trash. It was clearly a last gen game revived to generate quick revenue
