I have gained a ton remedy respect for their last few games. Control was great and I’m playing through Alan wake for the first time on ps5 now. You can tell it’s dated but was also ahead of it’s time. I like it a lot. The last one before that was quantum break I think which okay but it didn’t put them on the map for me.

I can’t remember playing any max Payne games but I know I have. I like the idea of the current remedy remaking these games. They seem to have come a long way. I’d be interested in anything they make at this point. That’s until they pull a cyberpunk type deal and ruin their own reputation.

Dead Space, Splinter Cell and now the Max Payne Remake. Back to the roots! :D

That is awesome news! I remember I was into Max Payne back in the day, during the height of my GTA fandom. They're all time classics and if remade properly, I would definitely go back to them.

Such good news these games were genre defining if you weren't around back in the day the first games legacy and impact on the industry is akin to GTA or Halo 1 with its use of bullet time.

I still hope Rockstar decide to upscale 3 at the same time it doesn't need a remake just a slight bit of polish to complete the trilogy.

I want MP 3 either remade or 4K enhanced for the Series consoles.

I was just thinking yesterday "I wish they would remake max payne 3" cause I never got around to playing it and heard it was pretty good.....next best thing I guess.

Remedy have been downgraded from AAA to AA with Crossfire X, so it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

I cant wait for these to release. A lot of the Mechanics in the Max Payne series were way a head of its time.

News just got even better when i saw they were using their own proprietary engine and making it next gen only. Can't wait! I just hope it isn't a few years out!

Wow, I can get behind a remaster of such great games. What's crazy is how good the OG versions hold up. They don't look mind blowing like back then. But since gameplay is king, they are still great to play! My only question is, why not just make a new one altogether? I guess they need to gauge interest? Max Payne is still well regarded as a franchise and Remedy has a good track record for the most part.

I'm glad that they're remaking these two amazing titles, but, this remake busines have to stop, developers are struggling with creativity and we are having less and less new ip's, and recent ones are not that great... Saying that I still prefer remakes of good games then bad ip's/games.

This is awesome! The first thing I thought when I played Control was that I wanted Remedy to remake Max Payne in that engine. Dreams do come true!!!

This makes me so happy! Always said the originals deserve a remake! Really hope they can get the original voice actor and keep his likeness from 3 the same. As much as Sam Lake likes to impersonate Max since it was his likeness that was used for the first game, I find that shit eating grin to be just a bit too goofy and out of place for a game with such dark, moody and noire tones. Either way I’m stoked. Control showed us remedy can create an engine with a ton of destructible objects with great physics that could be used to make some amazing set pieces to shoot up!
